What you offer:
Maintain and support the existing build and promotion process. Create
installation packages (MSIs and EXEs) for new and existing products.
Coordinate with QA resources to have them regression test the
application, and ensure that the documented changes function as
expected. Track dependencies between the various components of a release
to ensure that all components are mutually compatible, and that the
release process accounts for any dependencies. Work with client IT
departments to assist in the deployment of the release. In some cases,
this person will actually perform the installation themselves on client
systems.
A bachelor's degree in a computer or technology-related field, or 3+
years experience working in the area of software deployment (build
management, configuration management, software deployment, and/or
release management systems)
Necessary Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good familiarity with Microsoft operating systems
* Experience with build management, configuration management,
software deployment, and/or release management systems
* Experience building and maintaining software installation
packages
Desirable Skills/Abilities:
* Experience working with Microsoft Internet Server (IIS)
* Experience installing and integrating distributed client/server
applications.
* Experience with basic administration and/or use of Microsoft SQL
Server
* Experience with Windows services
* Familiarity with defect-tracking software
* Experience in using the Agile development approach
* Experience working with an external technical team
* Experience performing system installations on third-party
systems
* Experience with Microsoft office add-ins and/or custom forms
* Knowledge of the financial industry
