The qualified person would have experience in sql, pl/sql, performance tuning, backup and recovery, essential day to day database monitoring, OEM, UNIX functions that relate to Oracle databases e.g. vi, shell scripting etc. Our ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of the database structure, theories, principles and practices, as well as have experience in providing high levels of data availability and security.

This person should have experience engineering, maintaining, administering Oracle databases, providing on call support for critical database system failures, Oracle software patching and upgrading, troubleshooting database issues, good documentation of database processes and procedures, strong organization, planning, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, client oriented focus.

Additional requirements include experience with Oracle e-business suite database administration, Application Server and Collaboration Suite is a plus. Certifications (either Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM)) are also a plus. Bachelor*s degree; preferably in Computer Science or MIS/CIS or equivalent relevant experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will be skilled in the areas of data modeling, physical database design, troubleshooting, performance tuning, monitoring, maintenance, migrations, recovery methodologies and contingency options. The job will also involve the challenge of auditing the current environments, capacity planning, and providing best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which may include establishing new standards and procedures.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
* Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Production/Development Oracle databases in a UNIX / Linux environment.
* Data Modeling, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell, PERL & JDBC programming skills

number of brokerage clients around the globe. Our primary data center
and offices are located in Boulder with a second data center in
Littleton.



Job description:

Ideal DBA candidate will have experience in working with large-scale,
mission-critical transaction oriented MS SQL Server databases. Our DBAs
are team players who help our developers to successfully design, test
and deploy database schema. They work together with network engineers
to successfully maintain and monitor the SQL servers.



We are seeking an individual who has performance analysis skills, data
modeling knowledge, and excellent troubleshooting abilities. This job
necessitates working quickly and accurately to maintain databases with
little or no down time. The abilities to multitask and think quickly
are
an absolute must. The environment is fast-paced and requires off-hours
work. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are also
required.



In addition to being a top flight MS SQL Server DBA, candidates should
also have very strong Transact-SQL skills. Knowledge of HP/Compaq
hardware and a Microsoft programming language are considered a plus.
Candidates should be also be familiar with log shipping for warm
standby
servers; replication; scheduling and execution of SQL backups and
restores; disaster recovery planning and execution; utilization and
performance monitoring/reporting; SQL security and planning;
maintaining
and creating user accounts for proper access; SQL Agent job scheduling
and monitoring; SQL/Server system tables; SQL Profiler and Enterprise
Manager; and NT monitoring to ensure adequate CPU, disk space, and
memory on all SQL servers.



Requirements:

** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major

** 2+ years of MS SQL Server DBA experience.

** Local Candidates only. Must be within a 45 minute drive of Boulder.

** Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
