Must be US Citizen.
We are seeking someone with either an electrical or chemical
engineering backgroundfor for developing a Scientific GUI
application. Helpful qualities include: finance, economics,
renewables experience.
This developer will be involved with 1) software development and
actual code writing (Borland Delphi, Fortran, Excel VBA); and 2) be
involved with the resulting energy and technology analysis made
possible by this tool.
Experience with any of the following software development tools
helpful (with more emphasis on GUI programming): GUI, Visual Basic,
Fortran, TeeChart, Raize Components, Developer Express VCL
components, Bold for Delphi, MtxVec, or Firebird database language.
This individual will have basic engineering abilities in fundamental
knowledge of engineering practices, procedures, and concepts;
demonstrate understanding of relevant R&D. Ability to apply basic
technical skills and methods to help analyze and solve problems.
Ability to work well as part of a team or independently with limited
supervision. Desired attributes include: strong verbal presentation
and technical writing abilities; sound interpersonal communication;
conflict resolution and multitasking skills; creativity; innovation;
and adaptability.
Specific tasks will include:
• Contribute to the development of solar energy analysis software
tools, mainly through GUI development.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with staff on projects in building energy R&D.
• Document work in detailed technical memos and internal milestone
reports
• Present key findings to Project Leader.
