Comcast - Project Manager

Major Responsibilities:
This needs to be someone with a degree and at least 3-5 year construction management experience preferably within Data Centers.

Comcast Regional Data Center
Critical Facility Data Center design and construction Project Manager with technical engineering background responsible for all phases of a data center project: initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
This role is responsible for the project planning and delivery of critical data center infrastructure and raised floor fit up projects. Key tasks include budget, estimating, scheduling, planning, and problem management. Must demonstrate skills in leadership, team building, communications, and interpersonal relationships, as well as strong project management techniques, identify problems, analyze root cause and recommending solutions. Manage A/E, construction, and commissioning firms, complying with all business processes and controls.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Provide technical leadership in deploying integrated data center solutions across the Comcast Enterprise, including the integration of critical facilities Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing infrastructure, hardware into an internal or external data center, network hub, etc.
* Plan, organize, and oversee all activities of the data center build including budget.
* Develop and manage standards, policies, and process for build Project Management.
* Work with solutions architects and engineers across Comcast BU's to ensure the most appropriate products and services are included in solutions design.
* Work with the Project Engineering lead to translate the intent of the design through Product Engineering support to Operations.
* Create Data Center Designs and Standards that meet the following criteria:- o Product Development Specifications.
* Operational Supportability
* Capital Efficient build methodology.
* Green build/operation technologies within capital efficient parameters
* Stay abreast of and promote, educate and enforce Data Center design best practices, corporate vision and policy.
* Provide technical expertise and end to end engineering solutions for all Data Center mission critical infrastructure including:
* Electrical Utilities
* Prime and standby electrical generator systems of all fuel types o Rotary and static UPS Systems o Low-medium voltage distribution o Open and closed transition automatic transfer scheme o Distributed vs. Catcher electrical redundancy method o Co-generation solutions o Large DC and Battery plants o Chilled Water plants o Air handling systems o Free Cooling systems including both direct and indirect air side economizers and evaporative cooling o Air segregation systems and containment o BMS and control systems
* Conduct meetings with multiple contractors to support vendor selection process for Architect, Mechanical and Electrical Principles, and General Contractor.
* Work Closely with Procurement teams for vendor selection process.
* Participate in the site selection process for corporate expansion. Evaluate the requirements and provide assessment of specific sites.
* Participate in client meetings with the ability to present Comcast design & build standards in a clear and concise manner in both technical and executive/layman's terms
* Work closely with the other members of the Data Center Acquisition & Expansion Team providing timely updates on the progress of the build schedule.
* Review and approve the development and implementation of electrical/mechanical standards and operations guides.
* Provide assistance to Product Development teams for design, business case creation, and project planning/implementation.
* Work with NETO Data Center team to ensure the product delivered meets the standards and intent of the project and can be supported.
* Represent Comcast in a professional and positive manner in a client and peer setting.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelor degree in a technical field (mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science, facilities management or construction management) with business aptitude or other business - related degree with strong technical competencies
* 3 - 5 years' experience in technical project management in data center and telecom infrastructure solutions, construction, mechanical or electrical industry Project Management experience with focus on the Data Center segment.
* Effectively communicate technical information and complex ideas.
* Demonstrate professionalism (e.g., cooperation, courtesy, assertiveness, and non-defensiveness, accepting constructive criticism, and maintaining confidences).
* Demonstrate good customer relation skills by providing prompt personalized service.
* Effectively handles stressful situations (resolving conflicts and meeting deadlines)
* Direct plant operations experience, or experience with operating engineers who have provided design feedback.
* Experience in engineering economics, or working with business analysts in providing value-based solutions.
* Familiar with ASHRAE, NFPA, NETA, IEEE, NEC, and OSHA standards.
* Readiness to travel 25% - 50% annually.

eBags - Data Warehouse

The Sr Data Warehouse Developer will have the opportunity to provide immediate and recognized value across the entire organization; marketing, merchandising, fulfillment, customer care, etc.  This is a great opportunity for someone who loves data warehousing and enjoys seeing the positive impact their work will have on all areas of the business.  The chosen candidate will be part of a small BI team, will have direct interaction with end-users and will provide direct input into the underlying data warehouse and reporting architecture as well as overall direction of the BI team.

Existing Data Warehouse Architecture
    Enterprise data warehouse on Oracle 11G.  Upgrading to 12c in 2016.
    Data sources include Oracle, SQL Server, web log files and other flat file sources both internal and external to eBags.
    Subject areas include customers, orders, web traffic, e-mail, marketing costs, freight costs, purchasing, inventory and more.
    ETL architecture is PL/SQL centric and includes the use of perl, korn shell and cron.
    DW is composed of the following architectural layers; staging, integration (using data vault concepts), conforming dimensions, atomic fact tables, aggregate fact tables, output to enterprise systems and short-term stop-gap reporting.
    SQL Server Reporting Services for reporting solutions and SQL Server Analysis Services for OLAP solutions.  SQL Server 2008 R2.  Actively evaluating 2014 and MS Power BI.
    Source control utilizes MS Team Foundation Server (TFS).

Responsibilities
    Design and implement solutions for the entire scope of the data warehouse environment:  Load processes for data sources, data integration, conforming dimensions, fact tables, stop-gap reporting, etc.  Will work directly with report developers, data analysts and other end-users to define solutions that will accurately and efficiently answer high priority business questions.
    Develop OLAP (SSAS ) and canned reporting (SSRS) solutions to satisfy end-user information needs.
    Tune processes to ensure service level agreements are continually met.  Primary focus will be SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle database tuning, but will also include any other non-database processes.
    Collaborate with manager and team members to continually improve all development and maintenance processes.  Includes database design, naming standards, coding standards, source control, code reviews, etc.
    Ongoing maintenance and support.  Includes on-call rotation to resolve unexpected load process failures.

Requirements:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, other related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience
    Solid written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to quickly develop rapport with end-users and peers.
    6+ years data warehouse development within any RDBMS.
    4+ years data warehouse development within Oracle.  Must have solid SQL and PL/SQL experience including tuning.
    Broad and deep skills with Oracle data warehouse related functionality; streams, materialized views, external tables, partitioning, table functions, fact table structures, bitmap indexing, etc.
    Proven ability to create robust, efficient and maintainable data warehouse related solutions that satisfy end-user requirements.
    Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services a plus, but not required.  Willing to train the chosen candidate in this area.

The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) Office of Information Technology (OIT) Research and Shared Services Division (RSS) is seeking a full-time Sr. Database Administrator responsible for the planning, design, implementation, administration and support of multiple enterprise-wide databases, as well as individual databases developed and deployed for respective clients. Posting Description:
This position will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, administration and support of multiple enterprise-wide databases as well as individual databases developed and deployed for RSS clients. Examples of work performed are listed below.

• Plan, design, install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, and secure production and non-production Oracle OLTP and OLAP databases in diverse operational environments.
• Work closely with application developers, vendors, system administrators, security personnel and auditors to ensure best practices are followed for database (and related system) design, integrity, performance, and security.
• Collaborates on development of complex technical and security standards. Consults on complex technical issues and contributes to architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and database-related issues.
• Develop, implement, test and maintain database backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Support database upgrades and patching as well as scheduled application releases.
• Administer all database objects including (but not limited to) schemas, tables, indexes, views, procedures, and packages.
• Monitor and analyze database performance indicators and recommend/implement improvement actions as necessary.
• Ensure the availability and continuity of database services by managing system changes and responding to service outages or events.
• Monitor user access and any security issues.
• Provide oversight and expertise to application developers in SQL coding and tuning.
• Assist developers in configuring and debugging database connections.
• Produce and maintain database (and related system) policy, process, and procedure documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

• Substitution: A combination of related work experience in the areas listed above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor's degree. The other minimum requirements listed below can overlap with this experience.

• 6+ years Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Oracle Database 11g experience.
• Experience in Linux based Operating Systems (Red Hat Enterprise, Oracle Linux OS, etc.)
• Experience with performance analysis, performance tuning and debugging performance issues.
• Shell scripting experience (BASH, Cron, KSH, Perl, C++ or similar scripting languages).

COMPETENCIES/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Proficient in all aspects of Oracle database management and has advanced knowledge and experience in many areas of management including: Database design; Performance tuning; Backup and recovery; Security; Disaster Recovery; Capacity management.

SendGrid - Web Analyst

As a Senior Web Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping the Revenue Marketing Team analyze each piece of the funnel in order to drive activities that are repeatable, predictable and scalable to grow revenue and program performance. This position requires experience working with web analytics reporting including implementation, mining and interpreting data for a SaaS organization.
