About the role:

You will install, maintain, and monitor the operation of the organization's Storage Infrastructure as well as Software components in Virtualization, Backups and performs general Server Administration.

Manage and monitor the integrity of core Storage systems; troubleshoot physical and logical storage connectivity. Maintain System Backups and Libraries. Maintain vendor service contracts and applicable documentation. Research and implement Disaster Recover, clustering and new technologies. Provide Tier 2 support. RTP Interactive is looking for a Web Developer with solid ASP.NET and C# skills to join our team. Candidate must have a craving for cutting-edge web development, a great attitude, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and join our team.

The Web Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining web sites within the RTP Interactive Internet platform. The Developer needs to be well versed in all aspects of web development including the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web applications. They must also work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that standards are being followed, frameworks are being reused where appropriate, and that projects meet budgetary and technical goals. This position will report to Chad Steele, the Technical Director of RTP’s Interactive division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Build websites following guidelines and project requirements exactly
* Support co-workers in any way possible to ensure that all RTP projects are successful
* Keep time focused towards billable work
* Complete projects on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards
* Ensure a positive working environment by being approachable, answering questions as clearly as possible, and ensuring that answers are understood
* Assist Project Managers with scope and time estimates for various jobs

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

* 2+ years experience as .NET web developer (C# and ASP.NET)
* 2+ years classic ASP and/or other development technologies (ColdFusion, PHP, JSP, etc.)
* 2+ years MS SQL Server experience
* Experience with Javascript and frameworks such as jQuery
* Experience developing AJAX-based applications
* Experience working with XML & XSLT
* Demonstrated understanding of CSS
* Demonstrated understanding of web services (SOAP, WCF, RESTful feeds, etc.)
* Experience with Flash and ActionScript 2/3 is preferred
* Experience with .NET-based content management systems such as Sitecore or Umbraco is preferred
* Demonstrated track record of delivering web development projects to specification, on time
* Comfortable in dynamic small company, start-up like environment
* Innovative thinker
* Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team
* Working knowledge of SEO best practices
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and co-workers
