Purchasing/Finance Systems Developer
REPORTS TO: Software Development Manager - Purchasing/Finance Systems
LOCATION: Broomfield, CO (US Headquarters)
OVERVIEW: Experienced developer responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle for projects and enhancements to a high volume and large-scale enterprise application. Business services (server code) are programmed in Pro*C and Java with Oracle PL/SQL. Reporting software is written in the SQR database query and report formatting language. Existing client applications are implemented in Java/JSP and Visual Basic. The organization is moving towards a component-based architecture implemented through Enterprise Java and Service Oriented Architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintaining, designing, and developing code for the Enterprise Purchasing domain (purchasing, product, supplier/wholesaler applications and interfaces using Pro*C, PL/SQL and J2EE).
* Supporting the testing and application support organizations as needed.
* Business requirements analysis, functional and technical design documentation, implementation, and test planning.
Skill Requirements:
* 5+ years solid systems development experience in a Unix environment
* Pro*C development experience
* Proficient in PL/SQL
* Unix and shell scripting
* Object oriented analysis and design
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with complex business processes
* Experience with software development process (Agile or similar methodologies.)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Java, JSP/EJB, HTML/XML, JavaScript
* Struts framework and design patterns
* JBoss, Apache HTTP server
* ClearCase and ClearQuest
* Proficient in SQR
* UML modeling
* Experience with a large-scale, high volume enterprise application
