Software System Engineer Summary:
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the software system architecture, facilitation of the UML use case design with a cross functional team in an agile environment, specifying system , subsystem high and low level use cases and supplemental  requirements in DOORS for general avionic communications and inflight entertainment equipment.
*        Responsible for writing system software requirements and UML based use case behavioral flows for a voice and data communication system and Inflight entertainment system in an avionics environment in DOORS.
*        Facilitate behavioral UML based system design sessions with a cross functional team of software and test engineers.
*        Strong embedded software experience in a high availability system.
*        researching new technology and protocols
*        Capability to prototype in C/C++ to prove out concepts and ideas.

Qualifications and Requirements
*        BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years' experience in the telecommunications/data communications or IFE environment.
*        Experience as a Software System Engineer or a Software Engineering architect developing embedded Linux software and open source in data communications and telecommunications systems. Strong upfront communication, writing and design skills coupled with a strong process mind set for quality.
*        Experience architecting and  integrating open source software.
*        Strong research skills for  new technology and protocols
*        Knowledge of Fault management systems and correlation of faults to root cause in high availability systems.
*        Strong Knowledge protocols and internet application technologies including HTML, XML, networking, firewall applications, web server configurations, internet application architectures based on VOIP & SIP technology and Internet security.
*        Experience with the Agile development process.
*        Knowledge of ARINC protocols a plus.
*        Knowledge of Avionics communication or inflight entertainment systems

The Sr. Architect/Software Engineer will be responsible for developing requirements, creation of software architecture, and developing and leading the development of embedded software for new products and new features for existing products. Summary:

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for quality assurance and testing of internal and vendor supplied deliverables, including software, associated with embedded Linux based telecommunications system products. System concept involves proprietary software/hardware communicating via a wireless link through a satellite network to ground stations. The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing of the application and embedded software and hardware developed by other engineers and subcontractors, and for implementing test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

*        Verification/Validation, Software and Regression Test of graphical user interfaces, wireless telecommunications protocols including data communications (incl. modems, etc), PBX switching systems, 802.11b/g, and VoIP/SIP testing on various proprietary microcomputers and devices;
*        Create test plans, test scripts and test cases for product validation and bug fixes based on system requirements;
*        Identify opportunities to introduce and implement test automation;
*        Identify and effectively troubleshoot combined hardware/software/network problems and implement appropriate corrections;

Summary:
The Database Architect/Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing an architecture to support the migration of the RescueNet databases to a single common integrated, fully relational database suitable for SaaS implementation.  The DBE is also responsible for developing and implementing procedures, standards, and protocols to enable the development team to interact with the database in the during the development cycle while still maintaining the integrity of the database.  Platform is MS SQL/.NET

  *  Act as Subject Matter Expert and Thought Leader with regards to the migration of the RescueNet database from stand-alone client/server implementations to a fully integrated SaaS model.
  *  Responsible for developing a database architecture that supports a high availability SaaS model.  This will include the implementation of fault tolerance and disaster recovery strategies as well as rollback provisions and optimized upgrade and maintenance protocols and procedures.
  *  Responsible for being a thought leader in "NextGeneration" database architecture concepts and for working collaboratively with the engineering staff to develop a like minded culture.
  *  Responsible for database optimization and integrity.
  *  Work with development team leads and software engineers to develop flexible yet robust standards, procedures, and protocols that will enable the R&D organization to access the database elements in the development cycle.
  *  Responsible for ensuring that developed solutions are scalable and reliable
  *  Responsible for implementing a pragmatic and collaborative approach to database access and architecture.

Software Test Engineers  - Automated Testing (2 positions open)

Job Description:

The Software Test Engineers will work on a team responsible for full lifecycle testing of ZOLL's web based applications.  In this role, this individual will help to develop processes and procedures to further the company's capabilities in automated testing and to help to move the company from a manual testing to an automated testing environment.  This person will be responsible for testing all layers of an n-tiered Microsoft web based suite of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*        Read and interpreted functional (marketing) and technical (development) specifications and develop comprehensive test plans designed to perform functional and load testing.  Functional testing should include edge and routine cases, data entry error, program logic errors, exceptions, etc).

*        Design, develop, and trouble shoot automated test scripts using web based automated test tools to validate the technical and functional integrity of web based components.  This will include stored procedures, services, and web apps.

*        Configure test environments including Microsoft web servers, web browsers, MS SQL, and application installations.  Configurations may include medical devices and communications devices such as serial modems, heart monitors, and other devices.

*        Responsible for testing on .NET and IOS platforms utilizing IE, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox as clients

*        Run and monitor test scripts on test environment.  Interpret the resulting error logs and other output results.  Trouble-shoot results to determine if the error is an engineering error or an error in the test script and/or database utilizing MS SQL and other data query tools.

*        Create simulators as necessary to create test data streams for I/O devices such as heart monitors, GPS devices, in-vehicle navigations systems, and proprietary devices.

*        Collaborate as a member of a highly functional R&D team to perform testing on multiple applications and move from application team to application team as necessary.

*        Adhere to professional standards regarding documentation, project management, quality, communication, and teamwork.

Requirements:

*        5+ years of experience performing Quality Engineering work in a software development organization.

*        Ability to read and interpret professional, documented .NET code

*        Ability to develop test scripts at a highly proficient level including tools such as VB Script, PERL, Rational Robot, Seque, and current web technologies.

*        Demonstrated success with full lifecycle Quality Engineering including test plan design and error log troub-shooting.

*        Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science highly desirable.

Position Summary:  Installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer networks by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Duties:
*        Improve service delivery with respect to deployment of systems infrastructure
*        Streamline the provisioning of multiple data center assets

Education:
