KPHC Clarity Technical Lead - CO Region


Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly-motivated, results oriented candidate with Project Management, reporting and technical skills to support, coordinate, and execute activities in a complex reporting environment. The Regional Technical Clarity Lead acts as the primary Clarity support and primary point of contact for the Region. The lead is the first point of contact for the region on any issues or questions related to Clarity and act as the Clarity Consultant to the Region. This candidate must possess the demonstrated ability to:

Oversee and drive efforts, in addition to providing consultancy and direction to the region on KPHC Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, such as reporting, views, data extracts, etc.
Provide Clarity Production Support to ensure daily ETL meets SLA.
Provide Clarity Environment management support and coordination.
Coordinate installation and testing of Clarity Releases and Upgrades, which includes review of Release notes.
Work with various KPHC teams to research and resolve Clarity data quality issues and mitigate overall regional risk on issues raised by the region, which includes tracking issues, helping to drive root cause analysis, coordinating with regional and national teams and Epic, attending various meetings, championing the regions needs and testing technical changes.
Serve as the liaison between the local (regional) business reporting team and the National IT reporting team.
Analyze/review solutions with a focus toward leveraging the solutions across regions/groups.
Create, track and resolve issues using the Remedy tracking system.
Coordinate Regional Reporting/database training and brown bag sessions.
Participate in regional forums.
Perform Clarity audit checks and validate daily/monthly TDL stats, etc. which includes analyzing data from Teradata access logs to determine use of group IDs and reviewing defined audit steps and validating record counts.
Involve in regional IT Clarity SOX, HIPAA, MPII, etc. regulatory compliance efforts.

Required Education & Skills:

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a reporting environment or department.
Minimum of 5-7 years of lead or project management experience.
Relational database experience, ie: Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase.
Ability to use SQL to develop queries and reports and scripting.
Experience in project management and coordination of complex reporting system release activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think outside of the box and meet goals and objectives to provide business value.
Excellent oral and written communication as well as demonstrated ability to work with end users to communicate changes, thoroughness is closing out issues, an understanding of potential impacts and the ability to bring to managements attention, and require minimal supervision.
Ability to participate as a team member and team leader, along with innovative thinking.
Knowledge and experience in EPIC, ie: Epic (OLTP) System Applications, Epic Clarity and/or Healthcare.
Ability to work with multiple distributed teams and leadership.
Ability to document requirements, analysis, design and user guides.

Skills helpful to have:

Knowledge of multiple reporting tools and software ie: SAS, Cognos, Business Objects, Crystal Reports/Enterprise.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Visio).
Knowledge and experience in hardware and software in multiple computing platforms (IBM AIX, UNIX, MVS).
Knowledge of Healthcare systems for Clinical Care, Practice Management
Experience with developing web content.
Experience working in large corporations.
