Systems Engineer
ITT Visual Information Solutions provides integrated commercial software
solutions that help scientists, engineers, researchers and medical
professionals turn complex data into useful information. Our 150,000

imagery and deploy imaging applications.

engineering, earth sciences, aerospace and defense, medical imaging, oil and

Solutions offers the most complete data visualization and image analysis

We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with proven Windows/Unix system
administration and networking experience to join our fast-paced IT team.
Qualified candidates must be results-oriented with exceptional attention to
detail and strong troubleshooting skills. A collaborative nature and
commitment to customer service is essential. Responsibilities include the
administration of enterprise systems, and the design and implementation of a
wide variety of hardware/software solutions.
Required Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
* 4+ years of system administration experience, including:
* Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory & replication troubleshooting
* Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003, Linux, Solaris 9/10, and Mac OSX
* MS Exchange 2003-2007
* BlackBerry Enterprise Server & PDA experience
* Server/Desktop/Laptop deployments
* Ghost & Sysprep OS imaging
* Print server & queue administration
* SQL Server 2000-2005 administration a plus
* Expert knowledge in WAN and LAN administration. Qualified
candidates will have experience with many or all of the following:
* Cisco router and switch configurations
* Site to site and mobile user VPN setup and maintenance
* NFS, NIS, FTP & CIFS in heterogeneous networks (SAMBA & Windows
Services for UNIX)
* VMWare ESX 2.5x-3.5x
* DNS management using Windows DNS & BIND
* System monitoring tools (SNMP and What's Up Gold preferred)
* Network design experience a big plus
* Basic NAS & SAN experience preferred (NetApp/IBM DS4XXX arrays)
* Mail gateway, spam, & mailbox delivery troubleshooting
* Enterprise level backup/recovery experience with latest tools &
techniques
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
