  *  Analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment of web applications in an object oriented environment
  *  Maintenance and support of line of business applications
  *  Follow the development process and steps as outlined and ensure code reuse and efficiency
  *  Provide proper documentation throughout the development lifecycle
  *  Troubleshooting and correcting program errors and defects
  *  Properly escalate issues to meet deadlines
  *  Coordination with QA Testers to ensure end-to-end unit testing and post production testing
  *  Follow established software development processes
  *  Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software
  *  Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  *  Minimum 4-6 years of object oriented & web development experience and programming methodologies in a professional setting
  *  Strong software development experience using JAVA/J2EE and Spring
  *  3+ years of "real world" web development experience
  *  2+ years of experience with Spring, Hibernate, Tiles, JSTL, and Web Application servers
  *  In-depth understanding of Core Web Technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, (JQuery), AJAX, JSON, XML, Web 2.0, etc.
  *  Effective written and verbal communication skills
  *  Problem-solving skills with the ability to work with innovative solutions
  *  Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and understand key issues quickly
  *  Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions while keeping management informed

Position Summary:
Billtrust is seeking a Web Designer to support online marketing efforts to increase brand awareness, thought leadership, lead and demand generation.  The Web Designer will manage, maintain and improve the performance, usability and security of our online properties, while collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, Sales and 3rd party marketing ecosystem partners.  He/she will be responsible for graphic design and producing a wide variety of digital marketing, such as banner ads, corporate graphics and landing page designs.
The successful candidate will be flexible and innovative, have the ability to establish strong, positive relationships with all members of the Billtrust marketing team, and will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  He/she will work within the existing brand identity systems and manage vendor and creative agency relationships.

Maintain all Billtrust web, blog and social platforms, and advance the overall usability, design, performance and conversion of our website(s)
Design, test, implement and maintain WordPress templates
Implement web content updates, such as creating/modifying landing pages, brochures, web pages and blogs
Test website content using different types of browser & operating systems
Monitor site traffic levels and analyze patterns to improve site usage
Clearly represent and roll-out the aesthetic of the Billtrust brand across multiple online properties
Maintain an intimate understanding of Billtrust solutions and customers
Establish standards and processes that improve efficiency and creativity

Proven ability in owning and progressing corporate branding across multiple online platforms and websites
Advanced skills in WordPress
Strong knowledge and abilities in web-based technologies, such as HTML5, CSS, XML and PHP
Demonstrated understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and a good eye towards graphic design
Experience with Google Analytics experience preferred
Ability to leverage CRM and marketing automation tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated, highly-organized and able to work independently and/or partner with cross-functional teams
Experience working with geographically-dispersed teams
Passion for staying informed of industry trends, an eye towards continuous improvement and an aspiration to make a difference
Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), online payments, software or product-centric business a plus
Degree in design, visual arts, HCI (or related field) or equivalent experience
