Precise - UNIX Developers

$31 per hour with experience on telecom, unix, and relational databases? Either the client is too cheap to afford good developers, or the pimp is taking 2/3 of the hourly rate. The pimp (Uday, with a Northern Virginia phone number) is likely trying to take the majority of the billing rate.

Required skills:

* Strong Unix knowledge and good working experience in Shell programming

* Strong Oracle database knowledge with good working experience in SQL, PL/SQL and knowledge of Pro*C would be advantage. Couple of candidates with good performance tuning expertise.

* Knowledge of Billing would be an advantage as well, preferably if that is Kenan Arbor Billing.



Candidate need to bring his/her own laptop.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conversion of customers from one system to another
Exporting large amounts of data from mySQL or Postgres
Importing data from customers

Skills/Experience
1-3 years Linux/UNIX systems administration experience.
1-3 years customer service/support experience.
Solid knowledge of operating system internals, particularly RedHat Linux.
Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex dependency relationships.
Experience with common Linux/UNIX administration tools.
Working experience with at least one scripting language, Perl and Shell preferred.
Good understanding of SMTP and message header tracing

Candidate will have at least five business intelligence projects implementing analytic reports and dashboards.

This person will have 3 to 5 years experience with OBIEE 7.9.6 (BI Analytics) tool. The experience will include the latest or next-to-latest release of tool with usage through all stages of implementation (design, development, testing and deployment). S/he will have working knowledge of the OBIEE tool and how it interacts with other applications. This person should have expert knowledge in usage of the Administrator tool and in assigning security roles. Additionally, this person MUST have experience with basic data warehousing, DAC, Informatica and business intelligence concepts. Job Description

As Manager of Technical Support, you will have the responsibility to manage a highly skilled technical support team in our organization. • Sets up and maintains test data by utilizing technical tools (e.g. SQL, UNIX) in order to facilitate efficiency and accuracy of testing.
• Performs manual functional, integration and regression testing by executing web-based on-line and batch transactions.
• Runs and maintains automated regression testing suites

Performs business analysis functions including:
• Working with the business area to understand requirements for system change
• Assists in determining impact to system for change being requested.
• Develops written business specifications by drawing upon business knowledge and analyzing requirements in order to document system functionality for developer.

Primary Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years combined experience performing user acceptance testing, writing business requirements and administration, for defined contribution retirement savings plans

OR

• A minimum of 5 years software testing experience
• Strong background in testing web applications
• Strong Oracle and SQL skills

Additional experience desired:
• Project Management skills
• Understanding of Project Lifecycle
• Mercury Quality Center/Quick Test Pro
