Summary: EchoStar Space Systems in Cheyenne, WY is looking for a Network/Systems Specialist to support the EchoStar Spacecraft Operations Center and will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware, software and related infrastructure in support of a 24/7 spacecraft operations environment. 

Responsibilities: 
· Support existing systems as well as research and implement new tools and technology in support of evolving operations requirements and to improve system security, availability, and performance. 
· Install and maintain servers, workstations and supporting network infrastructure in support of operations/project requirements. 
· Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. 
· Respond to ground system outages and provide end user support to Spacecraft Controllers and Engineers, escalating issues to senior team members as appropriate. 
· Develop basic scripts to automate routine tasks. 
· Ensure maximum system uptime by performing routine/preventative maintenance tasks. 
· Maintain system documentation. 
· Occasional night and weekend work as well as participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required. 

Basic Requirements: 
· ITAR This position requires access to export controlled items—candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. 
· Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university or equivalent experience 
· 2 plus years experiencers administrating Unix and Windows networks. 
· Ability to fulfill a 24 X 7 on-call rotation and respond onsite within 30 minutes 
· Occasional domestic and international travel required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
· Cisco, Microsoft or Unix related certifications

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead and transform the OSS and BSS applications to act as an application architect. Working collaboratively with Business SMEs and software engineers, to design and deliver advanced applications with state of the art graphics, intuitive navigation, and next-gen UIs. These applications will support Virtela's OSS and BSS applications, for automated provisioning and service creation, work-flow automation, asset and inventory management, and 3rd party ordering / billing systems integrations.

Primary Responsibilities
  *  Creating design specifications and prototypes for next-gen applications.
  *  Design and development of real-time mission critical software, preferably in the area of workflow management, B2B integration, and operational Managed Services support systems in the data communications field.
  *  Work with the other Solution Architects to identify new application opportunities and technologies.
  *  Develop a new framework and design standards for Manage various software development projects, both new development and maintenance releases, to participate in the planning and business requirements process for new systems applications.
  *  Develop, establish and drive aggressive implementation of team operational objectives according to application requirements for functionality, quality, and on time.
  *  Participate in the development of Virtela's architecture design strategy.
  *  Provide one-on-one coaching/development to the local Development Team.
  *  Recruit, hire and develop the needed team members with advanced technical competence.

Qualifications
  *  BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Masters is preferred
  *  Demonstrated knowledge of next-gen UI designs, coding, testing of web based applications.
  *  Experience with server technology stacks such as Java/Java EE.
  *  Proficient in XML, WSDL and Web Services, SOAP, REST & RPC, JSON.
  *  Demonstrated Experience in frameworks like Spring MVC
  *  Demonstrated ORM experience Like Hibernate / ibatis.
  *  Demonstrated experience in using software design patterns.
  *  Ability to design and aggressively deliver new enhancements for existing applications.
  *  Working knowledge of Linux/Unix platforms.
  *  Excellent communication skills.
  *  Working knowledge in database design concepts and SQL.
  *  Proven ability to rapidly deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept work to validate a proposed architectural approach.
  *  Extensive experience in full software development lifecycle using agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  *  Minimum of 3 years' experience as solution architect for next-gen UI/UX initiatives.
  *  Minimum 8+ years of proven progressive experience in software engineering as a developer, solutions architect, delivering cutting edge Web-based applications.
  *  Experience working for a fast paced service oriented company, focused on UI/UX software development and production support.
  *  Experience using Open source software, and understanding of the various licensing schemes
  *  Strong, proactive, self-motivating and professional work ethic
  *  Experience with NOSQL like Cassandra would be a huge plus.

Position Summary: The Business Systems Analyst conducts systems analysis and provides technical support for core system and business applications used by the various business units, delivering superior customer service while managing relationships with end users, business area leaders, partners and vendors to ensure deliverables exceed expectations. Key responsibilities include: 
- Reviews,analyzes, evaluates and understands business systems and user needs
- Works with business process owners to solve business problems using available applications
- Proactively provide solutions, efficiencies, and streamlining business processes using technology

- Performs configuration changes and maintenance of business applications and coordinate upgrades with vendors

- Escalates outages and degraded software performance to vendors for resolution and serves as primary interface to evaluate, implement, address, and coordinate new releases, patches, and regulatory compliance 
- Execute sand facilitates  periodic testing and implementation of contingency plans to ensure availability of applications in case of system failure
- Serves as second tier support for software problems in frontend and backend systems
- Adheres to internal processes and design principles
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements: 
- 5+years’ experience supporting business applications environments
- Experience with all phases of software development, utilizing Development Life Cycle practices
- Ability to execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations
- Working knowledge and understanding of financial institution operation and business processes including technology solutions used in financial institution operations
- Aptitude for technology applications
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytical skills
 Preferred 
- Experience with the Jack Henry suite of technologies (specifically Episys, Synapsys, Synergy, and Image Teller Capture) and MeridianLink OpeningAct and LoansPQ
