Level 3 Communications is searching for a Test Manager to join its Architecture and Engineering organization. This Manager will lead a group of engineers responsible for the testing and certification of Level 3's IP, Ethernet, and Transport Networks. The Edge Test team is responsible for lab qualification of the network and service designs created by the Architecture and Engineering teams, verification of Method of Procedure documents, and managing network and vendor defects. This team also provides training and ongoing production support to the Operations and Service Delivery teams.

The Edge Test Manger will be responsible for maximizing productivity of the Edge Test team and minimizing defects in the network. The position may entail a small amount of travel, but most of the day-to-day tasks will take place at the Global Headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado. Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the telecom sector, including 5+ years in a technical role

Level 3 Communications is currently looking for a Content Services Network Operations technician to join the team maintaining and growing the Level 3 Content Delivery Network Offering and Vyvx services. Level 3's industry leading content delivery services include services for storage, caching, streaming and the Vyvx® broadcast network to create Level 3's end-to-end content distribution solution for our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; operation, maintenance and monitoring of Media Operations hardware and related control software providing broadcast quality content distribution services. Provide broadcast quality support as a key contributor to content delivery in a 24x7 network centric operational team. Maintain a Tier II response to fault escalations from network alarms and first level support technicians through resolution, repair or escalation to Tier III. Requirements include:
- 1-3 years (2 years in ISP a plus)
- Experience in performing as a technician or operations support team member in the content distribution space with a focus on network support activities
- Ability to manage technical workload and engage senior technicians and management as appropriate
- Ability to maintain a solid working relationships including collaborative technical activities with peers and on the job training for junior technicians
- Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities required

Senior Support Systems Engineer
Overview
Provide technical implementation and configuration support for NewsGator product lines, including desktop products, Enterprise products, SharePoint solutions, web-based products, and NewsGator web services. This position is customer facing and requires frequent travel to contact with NewsGator enterprise customers typically System Administrators, SharePoint Administrators, and IT function level management. Candidate must have strong technical background and deep consulting experience.
Responsibilities

* Provide primary installation and configuration support for NewsGator Enterprise Products to new and existing NewsGator customers.
* Provide detailed configuration assistance of NewsGator products in SharePoint environments and troubleshooting of system overlap / integration between NewsGator products and SharePoint.
* Troubleshoot Windows Server environments and application issues as it relates to product implementation and operation.
* Diagnose and resolve all problems related to NewsGator product(s) and system operation, availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall function during an implementation.
* Build internal system environments mirroring customer development, test and production environments to include MS IIS, database, SharePoint, AD, and NewsGator components.
* Provide in-depth investigation, analysis, and timely resolution of customer issues and problems.
* Report and escalate customer problems and enhancements to development and product management as appropriate, including detailed explanation of issue and recommended resolution.
* Provide clear, well documented description of problems that require technical fix or resolution by Software Engineers.
* Create, maintain, and enhance product(s) knowledge base, including technical articles, FAQ's, sample applications, and/or demonstrations.
* Assist with Pre-Sales activities and events as appropriate.
Qualifications

* BS in Business Information System, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 8 years of consulting or software professional service experience.
* Minimum 5 years experience supporting Microsoft server technologies.
* Expertise with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and MOSS technologies including web part deployment, site definitions, and features.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Windows Server implementation and ongoing system administration, including related server applications: IIS, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and networking protocols.
* Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 implementation and ongoing system administration.
* Working knowledge of HTML, HTTP(s), and XML.
* Knowledge of and exposure to RSS.
* Proven ability to manage and solve complex customer support issues in a dynamic environment.
* Proven ability to effectively interact and manage customer issues either onsite or remotely, including difficult and potentially hostile customer interactions.
Desired Skills

* 10 years of consulting or software professional service experience.
* Expertise with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and MOSS technologies in a consulting capacity.
* Deep technical knowledge of the technologies listed above.
