Responsibilities:

•Provide leadership to the software development team
•Provide sound decision making sensitive to the needs of the
business
•Work closely with the IT management team and business owners
to define product direction and roadmaps
•Work closely with project managers to ensure development
meets customer requirements and timelines
•Create development best practices and ensure processes and
development artifacts are documented and leveraged to produce quality
solutions
•Engage in the understanding and documentation of business
requirements
•Engage in the analysis of architectural designs,
implementation approaches and quality assurance plans
•Deliver complete, high quality and compelling solutions
•Build and improve the software development team via hiring,
employee development, teambuilding, coaching and mentoring
•Work with contractors and third party vendors in the
development of solutions

Qualifications / Skills Required:

•Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related
area
•Minimum 3 years experience managing software development teams
•Minimum 7 years experience in a software development position
•Strong communication skills
•Flexible and adaptable
•Excellent team organizational and coordination skills with
the ability to effectively work with all levels of the project team,
management team and sub-contractors
•Experience with software industry standards and best practices
•Prefer candidates with experience in C#, .Net and relational
databases
•Prefer candidates with knowledge of e-commerce infrastructures
•Prefer candidates with experience using Agile development
methodologies and SCRUM
