revolutionize identity management by putting the infrastructure into the
Internet and integrating it with other web-based services, creating a unique
Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. Our competitors have larger names
like IBM, Sun and HP, but no product on the market offers what we offer, and
our target market isn¹t limited to a small handful of Fortune companies.
To effectively deliver this solution, Symplified needs someone with a
combination of java developer skills and the ability to integrate software
with other interfaces. This is a chance to improve your technical skills
and be involved in the building of a cutting-edge professional services team
and define processes and procedures to deliver a next generation
Software-as-a-Service application.
Senior Service Integration Engineer
Summary
This is a customer facing position. The ideal candidate will be able to
perform analysis of a customer network and web application architecture,
design and implement proof of concept deployments, and integrate
Symplified¹s Web SSO Œlast-mile¹ with web applications. Hands on
execution/implementation of an integration plan are a primary responsibility
of this position. Mindfulness on customer care each step of the way is
required.
Tasks candidates will perform
- Integrate Identity Management / Web Single-Sign-On solution with customer
networks and applications
- Integrate existing customer web application authentication using
Symplified tools and web service APIs to Symplified product
- Web application programming and integration (Java/JSP, .NET/ASP, PHP),
including portal and CMS customization
- Assist customers with integration at a technical level
- Train customer administrators on use of service
- Manage customer expectations
- Provide pre-sales support if needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
Profile / Requirements
- 5+ years experience in web-facing programming and integration using a
variety of Java/JSP, .NET/ASP, and LAMP stack applications
- Working knowledge of web service programming using SOAP/REST
- Experience with web protocols (HTTP, HTML, HTTPS). Knowledge of headers
and cookies required.
- Understanding of identity user stores and protocols, such as Active
Directory, LDAP, Etc.
- Network Security Best Practices
- Working knowledge of networking, network design, IP routing and subnetting
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, Proxy, and network protocols at layers 2
through 7
- Experience in a customer facing role - understands that customers are what
drive a company and knows how to provide excellent service
- Represents company well at customer site and over the phone
Work ability / organization skills
- Enjoys start-up atmosphere and is able to put in the time necessary to
make the company a success
- Is not limited by role. Can see what needs to be done and steps up even if
not in core duties of job description
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks and
take own initiative to coordinate and complete tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Will be required to travel to customer sites and Symplified collocation
facilities as needed
Education
- Bachelor¹s Degree in CS or equivalent work experience
- Technical Certifications a plus (CISSP, MCSE, Etc.) but not required
- Knowledge and experience in identity management a plus (ID Routing, SAML,
Federation) but not required
