TEKsystems is currently seeking an experienced Senior Architect for a
direct hire opportunity in Honolulu.

Job Description:

The Senior IT Architect is responsible for driving resolution of all
technical details associated with Infrastructure Design and
Construction, Application Development and Deployment, Systems
Interoperability and Release Management for applications deployed in
corporate environment. The Architect has the dual role of ensuring
architectural integrity and compliance, while at the same time working
with Customer Service and Network Operations to continuously improve
availability, serviceability and efficiency of our internal systems
and networks.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company?s existing IT
architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
- Oversee the design of the ?future state? environment and build a
roadmap for the transformation.
- Support the development of a 5 year plan which outlines the
requirements for emerging technologies and its delivery to our
customers
- Work with business leads to communicate technical designs/
requirements and resolve implementation details for all required
network, server, storage, and software components to include required
capacity planning.
- Ensure architectural integrity and compliance with current and
future Managed Services infrastructure standards.
- Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and
assistance to Business Analysts, System Engineers, and other
Architects.
- Work with business leads to update operational procedures and
resolve all issues pertaining to operational readiness.
- Work with Customer Service and Network Operations to drive
continuous improvement in availability, serviceability, and
efficiency.
- Perform technical risk assessments and develop contingency plans to
insure situational requirements of change control.
- Identify cost-effective opportunities for technology refresh and
application selection.
- Work with all business elements to sustain compliancy with all
applicable Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Operational Management
- Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business
requirements for complex systems development and gain buy-in for all
infrastructure plans.
- Review new and existing IT projects, systems designs, and
outsourcing plans for compliance with architectural plans.

Formal Education & Certification
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer
science, information systems, or computer engineering.

Knowledge & Experience
- 7-10 years work experience at the Senior Architect level.
- Extensive experience with developing strategic plans.
- Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
- Proven experience in systems design and development within the
telecom sector.
- Strong understanding of information processing principles and
practices.
- Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including
PeopleSoft, Kenan, Tibco, and network provisioning and engineering
tools.
- In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, Web and platform
operating systems.
- Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols,
and standards
- Hands-on experience with application development tools, including
detailed knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and
practice.
- Proven project planning and management experience.
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional understanding of the organization?s goals and
objectives.
