Job Description: Database Architect
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for design and development of SQL Server 2000 and
2005 databases in a SOA environment
* Creating, testing implementing and maintaining stored
procedures
* Work with application developers to develop and implement
solutions
* Write SQL statements within stored procedures; perform database
queries
* Ensure that standards for database performance, availability
and security are being met; as well as mentor other team members on
various aspects of SQL Server
Requirements:
* Experience utilizing ASP.net and VB.net in an Enterprise
Environment
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server in a .NET/C#
environment
* Experience with SQL Server 2005
* Strong stored procedure skills
* Solid understanding of SQL Server locking, indexing and error
handling
* Strong understanding of how to maximize SQL Server application
scalability, performance, recoverability, and maintainability
* Experience working with project managers/users to plan and
implement releases
* 5 to 10 years of relational database experience within a
multi-tiered environment; including use of database performance and
monitoring tools
* Understanding of various schema and their pros/cons: star
schema, snowflake schema, 3rd normal form, etc.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience supporting data warehouses
* Strong application development experience a plus

Job Description: Database Administrator
Springbok Services, Inc. (www.springbokservices.com) is a leading and

Responsibilities:
* Database development, reporting development and data migration
using Microsoft SQL Server
* Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and user
defined functions
* Import and export data to and from SQL Server
* Optimization and tuning of SQL
* Monitor SQL Server Jobs and performance
* Monitoring and performance optimization of Microsoft SQL Server
* Perform database design by analyzing business requirements
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of database issues
* Assist in the application development, debugging,
configuration, and optimization from database perspective
* Assist with software release management, software upgrades, new
products and migration.
* Other tasks as needed
Requirements:
* 4 years SQL Server experience
* 4 years TSQL programming experience
* Must have working knowledge of stored procedures, views and SQL
user defined functions
* 2 years SQL server administration experience
* 1 year SQL Server management studio experience
* Must be able to work in a high paced team environment
* SQL Server 2005 migration experience a plus
