PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This individual will be a senior member of the Engineering staff contributing to the day-to-day development of software. Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level team contributor/specialist.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
* Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database[s].
* Provides technical support to project team members
* Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process.
* Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* 8-10 years experience in database related positions of increasing responsibility.
* Demonstrates expertise in Oracle, SQL
* Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top level programmer.
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
* Reports directly to a manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Oracle
* SQL
* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree/experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 10+ years overall experience in Oracle database development and architecture working primarily in a UNIX environment, preferably with both Solaris and Linux experience
* Extensive experience in Oracle database performance tuning and SQL tuning
* Hands-on experience with the architecture, design, and development of large-volume transactional databases
* Hands-on experience with the architecture, design, and development of ETL and data warehousing
* Proven ability to perform data modeling, logical and physical database design and systems architecture.
* Strong knowledge of networking and enterprise systems architectures
* Strong UNIX shell scripting experience
* Excellent problem solving capability
