Oracle SOA Programmer / Analyst
Webroot is currently seeking an Oracle SOA Programmer / Analyst to
contribute to the development and support of ongoing IT operations, as
well as the planning and execution of future projects.
The candidate will need to fill three key niches at Webroot:
1. Serve as a technical subject matter expert in Oracle SOA
technologies.
2. Work with internal customers to analyze and identify
Oracle-related business processes, system issues and enhancements for
our Production environments.
3. Gather requirements and develop systems to meet required
business
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ability to analyze business applications and processes, able
to recommend and implement system enhancements or process improvements.
* Design and analyze code; able to test, debug, modify, and
document complex systems requiring thorough knowledge of
Oracle-dependent business applications and processes with little or no
supervision.
* Use technical expertise and business applications knowledge to
resolve problems while considering architectural limitations,
performance and potential risks.
* Prepare detailed specifications for business applications
projects, including development of new applications and customizations
to be integrated with existing applications.
* Mentor other team members on software design, analysis, and
development tips focusing on new technologies. Provide technical
leadership, training and support for the team.
* Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve
enterprise application issues.
* Provide extended hours production support during financial
close activities as requested
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Deep expertise in Oracle SOA technologies, including the
Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle BPEL (development and server
expertise). Expertise using the Oracle e-Business Suite is a plus.
* Hands-on experience and expertise using one or all of the
following variants of the XML markup language: XSLT, XML Schema, XPath,
XQuery, WSDL, BPEL. HTML markup language experience is a plus.
* Current, hands-on experience with multiple programming
languages, including Java (JSE or JEE).
* Expertise in analyzing and identifying business process and
system issues. Able to quickly identify solutions that are
complimentary to the needs of the business.
* Functional and Technical documentation skills which address
the needs of the customer, including ability to write detailed test
plans from requirements.
* Good working knowledge of sales transaction flows, including
financial applications
* Excellent customer service skills addressing the needs of both
the external and internal customer with strong communication and process
skills
* Must be able to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Educational
systems, computer science, information technology or a related
discipline and 2+ years in Enterprise IT
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Good understanding of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL database
programming
* Direct development experience with the Oracle eBusiness Suite
and the tools associated with it, including SQL, PL/SQL, BI Publisher,
Forms, Reports and Workflow
* Knowledge of the Oracle e-Business Suite data model
* Certifications related to Oracle technologies, especially SOA,
Enterprise Architecture, DBMS skills
* Java Certifications of any kind
* Strong object modeling/software design skills
* Experience with business process modeling
* CRM experience desired
