Data Warehouse Architect Needed!

TransFirst, LLC, located in Broomfield, is currently seeking a Data
Warehouse Architect!
Position Summary
*Perform initial analysis of business needs to determine scope and
potential Data Warehouse system solutions to existing customer problems.
* Interface with client to translate business requirements into
technical business requirements.
* Maintain DW data dictionary and DW data design plan
* Perform routine maintenance and problem resolution on Data Warehouse
database
* Confer with associates to determine impact of database changes to DW
system
* Project management.
* Use Data architect software to prepare data design diagrams
* Data profiling and testing of user requirements before functional spec
sign off
* Coordinate DW project testing with DW team and users.
* Create data definition and data rule implementation.
* Work with ETL programmers and Cognos programmers to ensure user
requirements are being met and projects are on schedule.
* Documents current workflows and processes

Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years
experience in specialization on managed systems in banking or other
high-technology industries; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
* Four years experience in application support, systems development
(including system and problem analysis) preferably in banking, credit
card, finance, etc. with emphasis in project management in a variety of
business applications.
* In depth knowledge of Data Warehouse applications and support.
Preferably with knowledge of Cognos (or similar DW Reporting packages),
ETL (Informatica or similar) and knowledge of data architecture software
such as Erwin.
* Solid foundation of SQL, data extraction and relational database
concepts.
