Primary Duties:
Gather and analyze requirements for business intelligence and business process management activities. Prepare technical specifications and estimate solution costs. Coordinate project implementation among the stakeholders, architects, developers, and other implementers. Create business intelligence reports and alerts using Cognos 8 BI. Test reports and reporting applications. Maintain existing data warehouse programs and reports. Support and administer business intelligence systems and supporting systems. Train users on supported systems.
Position Requirements:
Education requirements: BA or BS in Business, MIS, CS, engineering or equivalent technical degree of education Experience requirements (years): 2 years
Skill requirements: SQL programming for Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and MS Access databases Cognos Certified Professional certification (for PowerPlay, ReportNet, and/or Cognos 8 BI) Web page design using HTML and Javascript Administer and develop reporting applications with Cognos PowerPlay and Cognos ReportNet, or Cognos 8 BI General programming experience with Python, Java, or Visual Basic languages Web programming with JSP, ASP, or Zope Experienced in software quality assurance and testing Experienced in Six-Sigma, JAD, or RAD project management techniques Experienced in facilitating requirements interviews, presentations, training, and project management Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
