To effectively deliver this solution, Symplified needs someone who can
understand complex network environments and has a combination of web
development skills and the ability to integrate software through the
use of APIs. This is a chance to be involved in the building of a
cutting-edge professional services team and define processes and
procedures to deliver a next generation Software-as-a-Service

Sr. Solutions Engineer
This is a customer facing position. The ideal candidate will be able
to perform analysis of customer web application usage as well as
network architecture, design and implement deployments, and integrate
Symplified’s Web Single Sign-On ‘last-mile’ into existing and newly
created portals and landing pages. Creation of and hands-on execution
of an implementation plan are a primary responsibility of this
position. Advanced web and network troubleshooting skills are
necessary. Mindfulness on customer care each step of the way is
required.
The right person for this job is a dedicated individual, passionate
about technology, committed to learning the details of next generation
web security solutions and applying those solutions in various
customer environments.
Tasks candidates will perform
· Analyze customer network, understand security architecture,
consult customers on firewall changes, DNS entries, and general
delivery of web applications
· Integrate Symplified’s Linux-based Identity Router with
customer identity infrastructure and network
· Integrate existing web application authentication using
Symplified tools and Symplified web service APIs
· Web application programming and integration for Symplified’s
solution in one or more of Java/JSP, .NET/ASP, PHP
· Assist customers with integration at a technical level
· Train customer administrators on use of service
· Manage customer expectations
· Manage and implement interoperability projects with
technology partners
· Troubleshooting web and network problems
· Provide pre-sales support if needed
· Other duties as assigned by management
Profile / Requirements
· Working knowledge of firewalls, routers, and switches
· Knowledge of HTTP protocol including headers, cookies, SSL,
and certificates
· Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, network
design, IP routing and subnetting
· Understanding of identity user stores and protocols, such as
Active Directory, Windows Domains, LDAP, Etc.
· Expertise in Windows Domain Administration, Trust
Relationships, Active Directory Federation Services, a big plus
· Experience with DHCP, DNS, Proxy, and network protocols at
layers 2 through 7
· Experience with Java/JSP, .NET/ASP, or LAMP stack applications a plus
· Experience in a customer facing role - understands that
customers are what drive a company and knows how to provide excellent
service
· Represents company well at customer site and over the phone

· Enjoys start-up atmosphere and is able to put in the time
necessary to make the company a success
· Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish
assigned tasks and take own initiative to coordinate and complete
tasks
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Some travel required – most engagements performed remotely
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in CS or equivalent work experience
· Technical Certifications a plus (CISSP, MCSE, Etc.) but not required
· Knowledge and experience in identity management a plus (ID
Routing, SAML, Federation) but not required
