Cobank - Technical Lead

Manages application development, implementation, and production support/maintenance activities for the Business Intelligence team in Information Technology (IT) department. Provides thought leadership and contributes to establishment of technical direction for business intelligence and data warehousing applications supporting CoBank and Farm Credit Leasing functions. Performs hands-on design, coding/configuration, testing, implementation, on-call and maintenance tasks. Supervises senior software engineers, software engineers, developers or other technical resources.

Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or relevant discipline and
8+ years experience in software development/maintenance and
Structured system design/development, preferably in banking or financial services industry; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
Advanced skills and experience in Informatica and Cognos toolsets.
Advanced skills in developing SQL queries.
Advanced knowledge and skills in business intelligence and data warehousing concepts.
Experience working in an Oracle environment.
Intermediate supervisory experience required, advanced personnel development and coaching skills preferred.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices, and ability to incorporate as appropriate into the CoBank environment.
Excellent teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Excellent problem solving, oral and written communications skills.
Advanced ability to maintain and enhance applications developed in Informatica, Cognos and .NET.
Ability to conduct peer and subordinate design and code reviews and evaluate the quality of IT deliverables.
Ability to identify changes in scope or work effort that could result in budgetary overrun or missed delivery dates.
Intermediate experience with loan processing, banking, leasing or packaged ERP applications preferred.

Ability to provide regular 24x7 on-call production support.
