FORETHOUGHT.net, Denver's leading Internet and Telephone Service provider, is looking for a Lead Network Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (Masters Preferred) in Telecommunications,
Information Technology or related area.
* Extensive experience in business class telecommunications services, Data
communications, Softswitch, VoIP, Hosted VoIP, LAN/WAN, Team Management,
Hands on Technology Driver.
* Extensive experience with complex telecommunications and network equipment,
(i.e. MetaSwitch, Central Office Equipment, integral data switching capabilities)
and advanced data communications equipment and technologies (i.e. TCP/IP, T1, T3, DSL,
SS7, fiber optics, gigabit Ethernet, infrared statistical multiplexers and time
division multiplexers, SNMP).
* Working knowledge of critical data center infrastructure standards and best practices
including power(120/240 volt), cooling, UPS battery backup, system alarming and
monitoring, humidity control, Cat5/6 and fiber cabling.
* Ability to maintain and develop technical skills, staying current with new complex
telecommunications and data center technologies, architectures and best practices.
* Department Management Skills
* Strong analytical, Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism, with management, personnel
and customers, verbally and in writing, with tact and diplomacy.
* Ability to manage time and workload efficiently; includes planning, organizing,
setting priorities and follow-through
* Ability to multitask, define and execute multiple ongoing projects with attention
to detail

* IP Routing – OSPF, BGP, Ipv6, Cisco and Foundry routers and switches
* Operating Systems – Linux (RedHat, Centos, Ubuntu) and Windows
* Scripting – perl and bash scripting
* Ethernet – VLANs (802.1q), Q-in-Q (802.1ah), QoS (802.1p)
* VoIP – SIP, MGCP, RTP, Cisco and Polycom IP Phone Handsets

Telephone and ISP Support Technician needed in Denver

ForeThought.net, Denver's leading Internet and Telephone Service provider,
Has an immediate need for a Tier I Technical Support Representative.
Candidate must have exemplary customer service skills and possess
excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able
to multitask effectively and provide assistance to our customers on a
variety of fronts including Telephone, broadband, Email and web server
support. Candidates should be familiar with the operations of Windows,
Linux, Internet and TCP/IP. We offer a fast paced environment and are
looking for candidates that have flexibility in their schedule.
Participation in an on-call rotation and some weekend work is required.
Position is located in Lower Downtown Denver.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help Desk: Customer telephone and Email support.
Troubleshooting DSL, T1 and dialup Internet access.
Prompt and effective communication and follow up with customers
Various other tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Linux and Windows administration
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient with networking technologies
Familiarity with VOIP technologies
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple activities, projects at the same time
Ability to work in rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of basic Internet applications, Email, Web servers, and
Local Area Networking.
Self Starter with the desire to learn on the fly and the drive, initiative
and desire to succeed.
