Project Manager Position
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Project Manager for off-site Software Installations and Internal Projects to join our Technical Services group. This is a mid to senior level position. If you are the type of person interested in defining your own project management standards, this is the right job for you. You continue to develop excellent project management archetypes as you manage multiple installations for 2011. Like all leaders at Maptek, we desire a self-starter capable of outstanding results who will collaborate successfully with multiple work groups.
The right candidate will possess:
Demonstrated and recent experience in large scale, off-site software implementations.
Solid experience with project management methodologies, including:
-Planning and scheduling of project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
-Contract scope review.
-Tracking project hours.
-Stakeholder milestone meetings.
-Client communication.
-Managing project budgets.
-Project recovery / contingency plans.
-Defining requirements.
-Full project lifecycle deployments.
-Design and review meetings.
-Post project QA follow-up.
Knowledge of project / scheduling software required.
PMI/PMP certification preferred.
Budgeting experience required.
Highly customer focused.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Problem solver capable of independent decision making.
Prefer university degree of Bachelors level or above in computer science, engineering (civil, mechanical, mining), or other relevant discipline.
Willingness to travel within the United States, Canada and Mexico up to 10% (milestone meetings).
