SUMMARY


Works with representatives of other departments to pinpoint problems and determine specific solutions/requirements. Directs the work of programmers. Manages development and enhancements of software programs of any complexity and scope. May be called upon to maintain and modify existing software programs. Provides continuing technical support inside and outside the IT Department and makes the most efficient use of available hardware and software. Provides support in the solution of operating problems involving software. Secures acceptance for standards and common procedures. Ensures IT Development staff correctly utilizes source code control and performs design/code reviews, unit testing, and documentation of all new and modified software. Works in concert with Operations staff to automate all standard processes. Reports to senior management appropriate software development metrics and project statuses.



The ideal candidate is an excellent troubleshooter, is able to quickly and accurately find solutions, is able to juggle multiple priorities, is highly self motivated, and has an aptitude for learning new subject matter.

JOB DUTIES

- Responsible for ongoing architecture for the product
- Responsible for triaging issues/requests as they hit the enhancements team.
- Responsible for managing a development team, and performing annual reviews.
- Provides input into software development processes and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring software development processes and procedures are followed
- Responsible for collecting and reporting agreed upon software development metrics
- Provides support to Project Management for development and tracking of Project tasks
- Responsible for backing up individual development team members as required
- Provides for 7X24X365 support
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- 2-4 Years ASP .NET experience required
- 2-4 Years SharePoint experience preferred
- 2-4 Years Windows SharePoint Services (MOSS)
- 2+ Years SharePoint web part development as well as ASP.NET control
- 2+ Years SharePoint development, administration and content management
- Experience with SharePoint content types
- 3+ Years Management experience required
- 2+ Years C#, Java, UNIX, C/C++, required
- 2+ Years SQL required (Oracle or SQL Server)
- PowerBuilder, Shell Scripting, Perl, MS Access experience is a plus
