EchoStar - ETL Developer

The ETL Developer will design, develop and maintain a variety of different ETL programs using various technologies * specifically Informatica PowerExchange including batch and NRT jobs, Oracle 11g PL/SQL, as well as Unix Scripting (KSH, CSH, PERL).

Responsibilities
1. Work with business requirements and will act as a technical analyst to identify and understand source data systems.

2. Create and maintain standard development life cycle documentation as part of all development project tasks.

3. Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.

4. Performance tune new/existing programs that load data into the data warehouse and act as the technical resource for the data warehouse team.

5. Map source system data to data warehouse models, meet with Technical Architects, Data Modelers and DBAs to review design strategies for new ETL processes.

6. Design, develop and maintain several different ETL programs in various technologies including Informatica PowerExchange including batch and NRT jobs, Oracle 11g PL/SQL, and Unix Scripting (KSH, CSH, PERL).

7. Strong technical analytical skills and an ability to provide creative solutions to problems.

8. Participate in certain aspects of business user consulting, system analysis, and general system designs.

REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Knowledge of Oracle 11g Databases
3. Demonstrated experience using Informatica PowerExchange (near real time and batch)
4. Experience in troubleshooting and debugging
5. Expertise in problem solving at the highest level
6. Unix Scripting (KSH, CSH, PERL)
