Senior Project Manager - 3 positions being hired for

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is project management.
Projects include IT technical consulting, integration of 3rd party
applications, product implementations, course development and
consulting, academic and eLearning solutions, and internal company
initiatives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Guards and supports team process (SCRUM, Waterfall, and other Agile
methodologies).

* Facilitates team decision-making and team maturity.

* Acts as chief communicator.

* Acts as the escalation point for the project team.

* Removes impediments of the project, team, and deliverables.

* Manages both dedicated and matrixed resources.

* Organizes, conducts, and attends meetings with project team to
create project plan parameters by defining clear attainable objectives
and milestones.

* Determines milestones, and what will be needed to meet milestone
(time, materials, etc.), the scope of project and how the scope fits
into the milestone timelines.

* Creates tasks, works with project team to determine and refine
estimates based on departmental abilities and constraints.

* Facilitates project meetings, client walkthroughs and overall
acceptance approval of project with client.

* Authors, maintains, and applies detailed project plans.

* Creates project charter and schedule documents with the support of
the team.

* Performs risk analysis for projects.

* Tracks and communicates progress and provides detailed weekly
status reports on all active projects.

* Makes sure all parties have a clear understanding of project
status.

* Manages internal and external client expectations of project.

* Ability to challenge Professional Services strategic vision and
situations relative to goals, values and mission.

* Program Management:

o Maintains a strong partnership with business owners to execute
the program based on business needs or benefits and decisions made at
the portfolio level.

o Manages internal and external client expectations of program.

o Creates and maintains relationships across the organization.

o Works with team leaders to manage both dedicated and matrixed
resources of program.

o Coordinates and resolves issues escalated from projects in the
program.

o Works with business owners and Portfolio Manager to determine ROI
on program.

o Mentor for Assoc Project Managers and Project Managers.

o Works with Portfolio Manager, QA Manager and Dev Manager on
escalations to determine best path of resolution.

* Other duties as assigned.
