JOB SUMMARY:
Work with project managers and internal business partners in creating
and modifying customer business reports. Perform database development
tasks including creating and optimizing SQL, performing data imports,
exports, and general data manipulation. Work closely with the database,
architecture and development teams to support the creation, and
maintenance of databases to support development projects. Analyze
reports and troubleshooting discrepancies in numbers. Establish and
maintain database and reporting documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Work with project managers and internal business partners
on creating and modifying custom business reports.
* Analyze reports and troubleshoot discrepancies in numbers.
* Run and track jobs that manage the manipulation of data for
reporting purposes.
* Perform database development tasks including creating and
optimizing SQL, performing data imports, exports and general data
manipulation.
* Establish and maintain database and reporting
documentation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Can make some project level decisions but should
communicate the decisions and get acceptance from their lead.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1 - 2 years of experience as a database developer or business report
writer Ability to create business reports based on defined business
requirements
Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005
Experience with report development tools (Microsoft Reporting Services,
Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, etc)
Knowledge of relational database design and implementation
Significant knowledge of t-SQL
DESIRED SKILLS:
Ability to write and modify existing stored procedures, views, and
create complex query SQL
Solid understanding of entity relationships diagrams and database design
concepts
Familiarity with fundamental wireless technologies including SMS, MMS,
WAP-Push, GSM, TDMA, CDMA, CDMA2000 (1xEV-DO), W-CDMA
Ability to manage time effectively and work in a team environment
Ability to understand complex data structures and data environments
