Job Description:

The Fiserv Insurance Group provides innovative insurance technology,
professional services, and outsourcing solutions to Life, P&C,
Flood, and Reinsurance carriers, managing general agents, and
administrators. Our solutions include insurance policy and claims
administration, underwriting, rating, advanced billing and
collections, point-of-sale technology, straight-through processing
solutions and business process outsourcing. We are actively
recruiting for a Sr. Project Manager to join our Professional
Services team located in Denver, Colorado.
Travel to client sites will be required and will vary with project
assignment. Expected travel - up to 50% of the time based on project
kickoff and implementation.

This position requires at least one of the following: Enterprise
Software Project Management Experience Enterprise Project Management
Experience with J2EE Projects Insurance Domain Knowledge (Big Plus)

Expected Contributions to the Role:

The Sr. Project Manager is accountable to his/her client as well as
Fiserv management for a successful, timely and cost-effective
project delivery. The Project Manager will be responsible for
reporting progress back to Fiserv management and determining how to
mitigate issues. All aspects of project delivery will be handled
through the Project Manager.

Expected Contributions to the Department and Company:

The Project Manager will work within the Professional Services
department on a key client project. This position will work directly
with the client and our internal project team. Professional Services
is responsible for project management, project execution and
implementation activities within Fiserv.

Major Areas of Accountability that Support Contributions:

Project Manager performs the following duties:

Manage all facets of software development projects to ensure
schedule, budget/profitability and quality goals are met
Achieve client satisfaction, by managing and meeting or exceeding
expectations
Ensure project meets all contractual obligations
Develop project plans, schedules and objectives
Proactively communicate project status and plans to client, Fiserv
management and project team
Obtain written acceptance for all deliverables
Create and maintain successful alliances with key stakeholders, both
internal and external
Assess and track risks, develop risk mitigation plans
Manage budgetary items associated with project expenses, capital
purchases and contract resources
Develop or provide key input into business cases for proposed
projects
Ensure project is executed using best practices and Fiserv
methodologies
Develop and coordinate project controls and associated metrics to
measure success
Build and maintain positive team morale
Ensure team conduct themselves and carry out their work in a
professional manner
Ensure that semi-annual performance reviews for project staff are
carried out, and that appropriate objectives are set that align with
project and company goals; foster and influence employee development
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum seven plus years experience in managing software development
projects
Minimum of five plus years external project management experienced
required
Minimum five years of hands-on software design and development
experience
Broad understanding of insurance industry
Broad understanding of J2EE architecture, design considerations and
trade-offs
Strong written, verbal, presentation and analytical skills
Good problem-solving, issue resolution, negotiation and diplomacy
skills
Education/Certification/Training:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent education
in a related discipline. Related work experience can be substituted
for educational requirement.

PMI Certification Project Management Professional (PMP) - highly
desired, not required

Travel:

Travel to client sites will be required and will vary with project
assignment. Expected travel - up to 50% of the time
