What You Offer:

Responsible for the configuration, administration, and performance of a
high volume/high availability web hosting environment.

This classification is the second in a series of three levels within
the
Web Administration job family. Employees independently perform
assignments within established guidelines and procedures. Technical
guidance is received from higher-level staff. Employees are able to
identify moderately difficult problems and apply problem-solving skills
to resolve them, often under tight time constraints. Employees are
expected to participate in project teams, and will work closely with
Project Management, Web Development and Engineering groups.

Designs, configures, operates, documents, and maintains enterprise web
hosting infrastructure. Diagnoses and troubleshoots web application
issues. Participates on multiple project teams. Analyzes system and
network loads and modifies configurations to maximize performance,
security and functionality. Analyzes system efficiency by conducting
tests and running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds.
Monitors and reports on system usage, and performance. Assists with
project evaluation and sizing. Assists in configuration of monitoring
applications. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and
experience (typically 1-3 years) in web administration is desired. An
equivalent combination of education and related experience may also
serve to meet these minimum requirements.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of
communicating project topics to technical and non technical audiences.
A solid understanding of IIS web hosting software. Ability to
troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and automate processes. Prior
experience with configuring and managing global load balancing
technologies. Prior experience with DNS management. Ability to
analyze
and deal effectively with difficult service delivery situations.
Typical
data center environment. Ability to lift or move equipment in excess
of
100 lbs.
