Manager, Data Warehous
Key Functions:

-Manages enterprise data warehouse team responsible for architecting
and populating the data warehouse.
-Responsible for working with business areas to prioritize internal
data needs and develop data acquisition plan for external data.

Responsibilities:

-Manages day-to-day operations of the data warehouse team that
maintains the warehouse and user data marts.
-Coordinates resources assigned to the data warehouse team.
-Responsible for facilitating, and planning warehouse design
meetings.
-Owns data acquisition process and improvements needed to meet
evolving customer needs.
-Coordinates activities with other project teams and workgroups.
-Manages changes impacting data acquisition as identified by BI
governance team and/or data owners.
-Maintains a positive customer-centric environment.
-Coordinates data standards, common data definitions and standard
data management practices across all One IT groups that have
operational data responsibilities.
-Provides management to staff and assistance in hiring decisions,
performance management, coaching and career development.
-Provides mentoring to staff as a means to develop job satisfaction
and coordinates cross training opportunities with other technical
support groups.
-Will require some on-call coverage responsibilities.

Education:

-Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or related
technical field required.

Experience:

-7+ years total IT/data warehouse solutions experience required.
-Strong understanding of the data warehouse technical infrastructure
including security, data base administration, ETL environment
administration required.
-3 years data project management experience in a complex, multi-
function, multi-entity environment required.
-3-4 years in supervisory role, mentoring technical staff and
defining and improving development and support processes.
-May substitute an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
-Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling concepts and software
development life cycle processes and methodologies.
-Proficient in programming needed to develop enterprise data
warehouse solutions and knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle.
-MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio skills
required.
-Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to effectively work in a large, geographically diverse
system.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Collaborates with internal BI team as well as BI governance team
and data source owners to ensure timely development of solutions
that load, extract and provide information for the reporting
environment in a timely and effective manner.
-Collaborates with operations team (DBA, SA) and integration
services to maintain optimal system performance.
-Works with enterprise architecture group to integrate data
warehouse into enterprise architecture.

This position designs logical and physical data models to support

-Transforms business requirements into conceptual logical data
