This position is located with a start-up company in Boulder, CO
This company is gearing to launch a new child-oriented portal and
interactive entertainment company.
In preparation for the launch, they are looking to expand the team
they have already assembled. This represents an outstanding **ground-
floor** opportunity to be a part of a business that will transform
the way kids interact with the web.
Position title: QA Lead
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following;
**Create and review test cases and test plans based on functional
specifications and marketing requirements documents.
**Execute test cases and test plans using internal API test tool or
manual execution as needed.
**Identifying, documenting and tracking defects.
**Develop schedules, testing processes, methodologies and best
practices.
**Development of automated test programs utilizing extensive
knowledge of scripting languages and knowledge of programming
languages.
**Coordinate tasks of QA team members.
Experience & Skills required;
**3+ years of website and web application QA experience with a solid
technical development background with a focus on analysis and ability
to understand business requirements.
**2+ yrs in a QA lead role.
**Previous work in creating and executing test scripts; knowledge of
software testing methodologies.
**Solid skills in Python, Perl, Java, C#, or scripting languages.
**Experience testing server and web applications.
**Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well with the
development and business teams.
The successful candidate must like working in a creative, fast paced
environment & be capable of handling multiple requests with a fast
production cycle.
Education;
BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Senior Software Quality Engineer position will be responsible
for various software quality assurance functions during the
development lifecycle of medical devices for electrosurgery. The
primary focus will be the verification and validation testing of
embedded, real-time software, including the development of test plans
and procedures. This individual will participate in design reviews
and code inspections and will support the development of
documentation required for FDA device approval. The position will
also require participation in other quality assurance functions,
including, but not limited to, process audits, static code analysis,
risk/hazard analysis, and test automation development. The individual
will be a part of a small Software Quality Assurance team and will
work closely with software development engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Expertise in planning, developing and executing software and
systems tests for embedded systems.
* Experience with C/C++ a must.
* A fundamental understanding of software engineering principles and
best practices in software quality is also required.
EDUCATION:
* A minimum BS degree in engineering, computer science, or other
relevant field is required.
KNOWLEDGE:
* Experience with databases, requirements management tools,
configuration management and defect/issues tracking systems, and data
analysis applications is highly desirable.
* Experience with software development environments and debugging
tools is also desirable.
* Experience with LabVIEW development of applications for data
acquisition is a plus, as is any experience with development of
medical devices.

24. Tester - West Denver - Permanent - ProtoTest

A Tester who feels strong with SQL. The Tester should be dedicated to
best practices and documentation and will be a process champion. The
position is in our Consumer web site and it is fast-paced. We need
someone who is flexible enough to juggle but strong enough to stop and
negotiate because they will not "just get it done" ignoring the
process. This team is still in Waterfall but has brought some AGILE
steps in to help them along and they're on a weekly release cycle.
Ideally this candidate has done both and can work with me to recommend
better ways to smooth this process out even more.
Communication skills and enthusiasm for the position are critical, as
well as strong SQL skills. The SQL skills should include complex joins
(inner & outer).
