Job Summary:
This position is responsible for implementing production databases and the day to day monitoring and support of client production data.
Essential Duties:

* Implements and maintains the data plan and develop a reusable data repository supporting all phases of testing a large-scale enterprise system.
* Works with Business Analysts, application teams, and Testers to analyze data requirements to support all phases of testing.
* Determines source of data and designs and implements extract, transformation and load (ETL) processes to populate data plans.
* Creates and maintains documentation and descriptors for data elements / attributes, and other required forms of metadata.
* Creates and/or manipulates data in support of application test efforts.
* Utilizes queries and scripts to mine existing data.
* Creates and/or maintains logical relational data models for subsequent translation into physical database models.
* Works with IT database administration staff to translate logical data models into physical data models.
* Assists with ad-hoc query and report requests.
* Provides consultation and training to business users and IT developers in the efficient use of data reporting and ad-hoc tools.
* Is familiar with all standards and ensures that all processes follow the data methodology.
* Will require some on-call coverage responsibilities.

Education:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.
* May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

* 3 plus years experience working as a Data or Database Analyst, specifically significant experience working on a large-scale system, which has both online and batch processing components is required.
* 5 plus years of total IT/database experience required.
* Experience with translating functional information into data plans.
* Utilizing data analytical skills to create data and validate large-scale test efforts.
* Project experience involvement with application testing lifecycle, methodology and tools.
* Experience in Crystal Reports and Mercury Quality Center / TestDirector a plus.
* Hands-on experience with design and implementation of logical data models using ERWIN or comparable data modeling tool.
* Hands-on coding, debugging, testing, and implementation of complex Oracle PL/SQL DML statements to query, join, update, and load/refresh data in Oracle tables.
* Hands-on coding of DDL statements to create Oracle databases, tables, views, rules, triggers, and packages.
* Experience in TOAD (or comparable tool), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, UNIX shell scripting.
* Exhibits good communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with large, diverse teams.
* Experience with SQLServer
