Experience: BS in EE, CE, or CS plus min 10-12 years storage
experience or Masters in EE, CE, or CS plus minimum 8-10 years
storage experience. Solid knowledge and test experience, in several
of the following areas is required: SAS/SATA/SCSI/FC protocols, RAID
stack, embedded processors, multi-pathing, SAN, Linux/Unix, and
protocol analyzers/jammers. Knowledge of embedded firmware/driver
testing is expected with solid testing and debug skills. Knowledge
of C/C++ Scripting languages and experience in Automated Test Tool
Development is required. Experience working with customers is
helpful. Must be self-motivated, apply good judgment, a strong self-
driven learner, learn new technologies quickly, and able to mentor
others. Proven ability to accomplish projects on time with high
quality. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

Job Description: Test and validate FW features and functions of LSI's
SAS/SATA Storage Controllers and drive implementation of related
automated test tools.

Responsibilities: Test firmware for intelligent storage controllers
with an emphasis on low level FW testing. Clearly define test
strategy/plans/cases and execute them based on deep understanding of
the features and functions of LSI SCG Controller / Expander. Help
define new automated test tools and work with Test Tool team to
implement tools for current and next generation products. Test
Engineer will help ensure test plans are executed efficiently and
effectively to meet committed schedules and high quality goals.
Communicate test requirements, status, and issues via internal issue
tracking system, e-mail, conf-calls, and presentations to internal
and external customers. Test Engineer must research and implement
new, innovative ways of providing quality-tested code to customers.
Assist in low level debug of problems found during test and help
drive them to resolution. Write and maintain training procedures.
Engineer may be responsible for teams of software test engineers,
technicians, and/or contractors across multiple locations (Wichita,
Colorado, India).
