Software Developer

Company Background:
I-Behavior Inc., a fast paced, growing database marketing services
company with offices located in Harrison, NY and Louisville, CO has a
great opportunity for a Software Developer in our Colorado office.

Position:
This position is responsible for the design, development, and
maintenance of computer programs written in IBM Assembler Language
Code as well as new platforms including, but not limited to Java,
Oracle and Unix.

Responsibilities
*Design and develop assembler code to populate, analyze, and extract
data from sequential and VSAM files in a batch environment.
*Assist in the development of Oracle, SQL, and/or Java.
*Assist with job control, submission, and monitoring as needed.
*Assist a team of business intelligence professionals to design and
develop software applications utilizing best practices in team
environment.
*Work closely with production staff and managers to ensure software
development efforts consistently meet business requirements and
schedules.

Qualifications:
*Recent and expert level knowledge of MVS (OS 360/370/390) assembler
language code and JCL
*BA or BS in Computer Science or related degree will be a plus.
*Demonstrated experience working on large projects
*High energy, motivated self-starter with ability to take direction
and manage tasks with minimal supervision within an energized,
collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
*Excellent communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
*Innovative and creative, able to champion new ideas and initiatives
with attention to detail
*Experience providing solutions in the Direct Marketing arena will be
a plus.

Required Experience:
*ALC (BAL) Assembler Language Code
*VSAM
*Microsoft Windows experience

Desired Experience:
*Familiarity with Oracle, SQL, and/or Java.
*Experience writing PL/SQL code a huge plus.
*Group 1 Software Familiarity
*Flexible and resourceful
*Linux or Unix experience
*Relational database management system experience, especially Oracle
