Job Summary: The Technical Training Manager for Trimble's Agriculture division is responsible for creating and implementing the overall technical training plan. This includes leading the design, development, delivery, evaluation, and ongoing management of technical training programs and content that is core and common across the global agriculture division. The technical training manager works at the local level to develop, support and deliver programs of learning originating from both local groups and global functions.
Measures of Success * Lead and collaborate on design, development and evaluation of programs to train all levels of personnel. * Employ state-of-the-art approaches to performance-oriented learning to include blended learning solutions, simulations and experiential learning curriculums. * Select and oversee the work of outside consultants and designers to design training programs to ensure service meets customer's expectations. * Identify and authorize trainers based on training requirements. * Ensure long-term sustainability for programs; oversees updates and needed resources. * Ensure training and performance improvement programs are effective and utilize constrained resources efficiently. * Develop communication approaches to support learning solutions and provide regular status on program progress against defined expectations to stakeholders. * Supervise additional members of the training team.

Additional Requirements: * Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and training delivery. * Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma, DMAIC) helpful * Strong performance consulting skills to identify business drivers and analyze learning needs of customers. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proven ability to lead teams and initiatives with direct and indirect authority. * Strong analytical and project management skills. * Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage a variety of resources according to a detailed project plan. * Skill with using a variety of computer applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, e-mail, Access, LMS, and scheduling applications) required. * Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems required. Agriculture machinery and equipment knowledge helpful.

Education and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or HRD graduate-level degree preferred or equivalent work experience * 5 or more years' work experience * Five years direct technical training and development experience in the agricultural, mechanical or GPS fields, or related industry * PMI certification is a plus. * Six Sigma or equivalent certification is a plus. * 40-50% travel required primarily throughout the U.S.; some international travel required * Preferable for position to be based in Westminster, Co
