Long-term Contract - Integration Platform Engineer

Primarily responsible for developing Integration Platform software
components.

The Integration Platform includes components typical of demanding
systems integration applications, including SSL encryption technologies,
data translation systems, network protocols of various types, and
maintenance automation, in a multi-language development environment with
the primary language being C#. The software developed must be reliable
and run unattended, in coordination with other software components that
may or may not have a user-interface.



Will implement all phases of development, from design specifications to
testing, QA, deployment and maintenance. Success in this challenging
position requires creative thinking and self-reliant programming skills
not often required in typical development environments.



Principle duties and responsibilities:

* Develops system integration solutions for the Integration Platform
primarily in the .Net/C# environment.
* Adheres to definition of done set by SCRUM team, which includes
participation in peer reviews and 100% unit test coverage in new system
components.

* Documents and relates system usage to user base (Integration Services
team,) as necessary.
* Successfully resolves and implements the requirements of end-users,
applications support groups, and customers.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information
Systems, or other technical degree (Engineering, Math, Physics, etc.)

* 5+ years' professional development experience in .NET and/or
C++.

* Thorough understanding of networking protocols and socket
programming interfaces.

* Understanding of all levels of development process required
(including Design, Development, Testing, QA, Maintenance and Support).

* Ability to demonstrate initiative, not only to accomplish
assigned development tasks with a minimum of prepared documentation, but
also to identify areas for improvement, and ability to combine these
improvements into the product.

Preferred qualifications:

* System integration experience

* Experience writing unit tests and test-driven development

* Experience working in a SCRUM environment

* Strong design experience and understanding of SOLID principles

* Experience in web technologies including ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC

* Experience with EDI and writing generic format parsers

associated skills, training and technologies:

* C#, LINQ, Web Services

* T-SQL

* ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC

* EDI, XML, VLX, HLX, EDIFACT

* TCF, HTTP, Cryptography

* SCRUM
