Senior Systems Engineer (SE) - IT Asset Management, Business Intel, Data Warehousing

Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Description:

The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for all technical, solution, and competitive aspects of the company’s sale. SE’s must be both sales focused and technically savvy. They must be successful selling to Fortune 500 executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of the software solution. The SE will work, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales customers. The SE will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers to drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.

Requirements:

• 5 + years of enterprise class software selling experience to executives at Fortune 500 companies.

• Experience mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, persuasion, presentation and writing skills.

• Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and POC’s.

• Knowledge in data warehousing, SQL, and analytical reporting applications.

• Outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution.

• Superior solution scoping abilities, using our existing solution and influencing new product development.

• Experience with Microsoft Windows NT/2000 and/or UNIX (Solaris, Linux, AIX) Operating Systems.

• Must be willing to work in a fast paced start-up environment with multiple roles.

• Bachelor’s degree is a must; graduate degree is a plus.

• Must be willing to travel.

In addition, the following qualities are highly regarded:

• Previous consulting experience implementing enterprise class software solutions.

• Hands on experience with the following technologies: MicroStrategy, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, SQL, XML or Java.

• In-depth knowledge of the IT asset management space, data warehousing or business intelligence.
