Summary:
Responsible for the system administration functions necessary to maintain Lawson development, test and production environments. Administration includes applying and testing patches; applying maintenance releases, and performing system upgrades. Provides Lawson technical expertise to other IT staff that support Unix, Oracle, Apache/Tomcat, Windows Servers, and Lawson Applications. Documents and describes processes related to the Lawson environment. Provides 24x7 technical support on rotation as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

* Perform Lawson user administration.
* Install and upgrade new environments.(and product lines)
* Install and upgrade new product lines.
* Apply application and environment patches.
* Perform data refreshes as needed.
* Document and describe processes related to the Lawson environment.
* Work as a technical expert with customers, application analysts, developers, and other team members to support and develop technical solutions to complex business problems.
* Perform QA testing and debugging.
* Troubleshoot Lawson problems and work within Lawson GSC guidelines to make sure support is not invalidated.
* Define printers to Lawson.
* Monitor/maintain logs, files systems and directories and coordinate maintenance with Unix System Admin.
* Perform or assist in Lawson product line backups/restores
* Maintain log files, print files, and work files.
* Ensure that backup Lawson System Administrators are involved in and aware of activities so that they have the knowledge to be effective substitutes when needed.
* Document the current state of all Lawson Product Lines and keep status current
* Help create and enforce CHI standards and policies for Lawson product lines

Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Clinical or related field.
* Ten years experience in an IT analyst role may be substituted for the above requirement.

Experience:

* Seven years of Lawson IT support experience in a large, multi-facility system required.
* Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or skills in the following areas:
o Technical knowledge of Lawson application suites.
o Proven ability to effectively communicate, in writing and verbally, with all
o Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts to non-technical customers.
o Ability to determine severity of system issues and its effect on the completion of required tasks.
o Ability to troubleshoot system issues; communicate effectively with Lawson support center.
o Ability to prioritize and complete complex tasks in agreed upon time frame.
o Lawson administration experience in a Unix/Oracle environment preferred.
o Strong familiarity in troubleshooting and configuring IOS/Portal.
o Experience in applying Lawson program and environmental patches.
o Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

o Specific knowledge of finance and administrative functions required.
o Experience implementing and supporting financial and administrative applications required.

Finance & Administrative Applications – Enterprise Resource Planning (Lawson):
o Specific knowledge of finance and administrative functions required.
o Experience implementing and supporting one or more of the following Lawson financial modules (General Finance, including patient finance, HR/Payroll, and Supply Chain) required.
o Generalist position requires specific knowledge of finance and administrative business functions.
o Bachelor’s degree preferred for all Lawson positions.
