Market Force Information is a rapidly growing $45 million private
provider of in-store customer experience information and insights
solutions including adjacent products like merchandising services.
Serving restaurants, retailers, financial services, CPG manufacturers,
grocery and convenience stores and wireless telecom; Market Force's
strategy is to acquire related businesses and to further enhance the
value and utility of the information it provides to clients. Together
we will integrate, reinvent and dominate the Customer Experience
Information and Insights industry with expertise, teamwork and
innovation. This is a mission critical role in our Boulder headquarters
reporting to the VP of Product Marketing.



The Systems Product Manager will be focused on the definition, design
and implementation of underlying systems to support our business
capabilities including Mystery Shopping, Merchandising Services, and
Customer Feedback. This position will work closely with development
teams in the optimization and expansion of the current platform as well
as the introduction of new systems and functions. The Product Manger
will interact with local and remote end-user teams and to ensure that
the requirements support the needs of the business as well as those of
the field network and clients.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:




* Technology: Incorporate relevant technologies (e.g. Java) into
MFI's software product roadmap using mainstream technology that seeks to
find a balance between "reliable and proven" and "new and cool" to come
up with best of breed solutions.
* Product Planning: Manage the product requirements process by
constantly gathering feedback from end-users, customers, partners,
external market trends and competitors culminating in a cohesive and
prioritized set of concise requirements that are market-driven,
supported by a thoughtful business case and can be feasibly delivered by
Development.

* Create and maintain the Product Roadmap that is
supported by an unambiguous Market Requirements Document ("MRD")
consistent in its definition of the problems and what needs to be done
to solve them.

* Product Design: Working closely with Development, create and
maintain the Product Requirements Documents ("PRD") for new software
products and enhancements that are supported by meaningful use-case
scenarios and screenshots that effectively illustrates requirements
against which the development team can track progress, accurately write
software code and QA can thoroughly test.
* Teamwork: Devise collaborative processes with Development and
business users to effectively communicate requirements and design specs
to ensure requirements are appropriately met and reflected in the final
product.

* Participate in engineering meetings providing
market-driven guidance on and prioritization of bug fixes, patches and
other enhancements during the software development and QA processes.

* Product Launch: Own the Product Launch process, including
defining and tracking project schedules, creating internal and external
training, writing sales and marketing collateral (e.g. datasheets,
whitepapers, website copy, etc.), managing Beta and other test programs,
organizing usability testing and other product-related deliverables that
will create a successful launch of a complete product.
* Product Evangelist: Become the voice of the product internally
and externally. Articulate and evangelize the vision and product
strategy to ensure credibility with the ability to interface at the
executive level within the company and with our clients.


Qualifications:




* 3-5 years of experience, preferably in product management
(capturing, managing, and communicating software requirements), project
management or marketing experience required
* Comprehensive knowledge of software product development with
experience in Service-Oriented architectures and web-based applications.


* Bachelor's degree required

* Working knowledge of overall software development and
capabilities for web-based software applications
* A strong technical background with domain experience in
application lifecycle and/or software development products, with an
emphasis on software development in enterprise application and
infrastructure environments.
* Demonstrated problem solving and process analysis skills with
demonstrated understanding of business process improvement techniques
(e.g. Six Sigma)
* Attention to detail, business acumen and common sense are
essential
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with
proven responsibility, commitment, initiative, maturity and creativity
in dealing with large projects
* Proven Leader able to drive initiatives while motivating and
inspiring excellence in cross-function team members
* Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts, strategies
and plans to C-level audiences
* Proven team leadership, project management, interpersonal skills
and group facilitation skills
* Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to analyze
data and draw clear, concise conclusions, identify and define problems,
and develop creative fact-based solutions to problems
