Primary Responsibility: The System Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design, daily administration, documentation, and compliance of all servers in the infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design, support and maintain the Starz server environment including Windows, UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh platforms.
· Support other departments with solution design, architecture and engineering as well as supporting remote infrastructure.
· Maintain service levels with customers through servicing of trouble tickets.
· Write and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures.
· Responsible for the engineering, design, daily administration, documentation, and compliance of all servers in the infrastructure.
· Perform the daily administration of server environments including monitoring and auditing.
· Ensure compliance of server environment management in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; Minimum seven years IT experience with a minimum of five years in a systems environment; Technical certifications preferred; and/or combination of education and experience. Three years experience providing on-call technical support and shift work support and performing troubleshooting activities in an enterprise environment. Experience creating and setting processes in place for corporate infrastructure. Experience managing a highly virtual environment, preferably with VMWare; Experience supporting operational processes and procedures to maximize the availability and efficiency of enterprise server environments. Server engineering experience including specifying and designing highly resilient infrastructure to support enterprise services.
· Experience with ITIL best practices.
· Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
· Strong judgment and problem analysis techniques.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
· Strong organizational skills and proficient in establishing priorities and the ability to develop clear and precise documentation.
· Experience in a Broadcast environment desirable but not required.

Primary Responsibility: Responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining troubleshooting and implementing reports for third party in-house applications for Starz Entertainment and Liberty Media.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop reporting data models and efficient SQL statements to access data from Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ, and MS SQL databases and develop reports in Cognos BI to meet business requirements.
· Develop customer relationships with internal customers to determine reporting requirements stemming from possible upgrades, integration, and general support.
· Analyze and provide requirements to transform data into a variety of contexts.
· Manage Cognos, cube generation, and report publishing.
· Demonstrate a full understanding of the Fact/Dimension data warehouse design model, including star and snowflake design methods.
· Responsible for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to bring data from multiple sources into a single warehouse environment.
· Analyze data from multiple data sources and develop a process to integrate the data into a single but consistent view.
· Quickly analyze complex data patterns in order to establish technical solutions to resolve data issues.
· Coordinate the efforts of many technical resources to ensure the solution is implemented timely and precisely.
· Develop standards and processes to ensure the successful operational support required to ensure daily reporting information is timely and accurate, so that day-day-business decisions can be made by the executive staff.
· Responsible for fully documenting the data warehouse environment and operational components.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred, minimum of 4 years related IT experience, minimum of 2 years reports development experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Cognos experience required.
· Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ and/or Microsoft SQL Server experience required.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Web-based architecture preferred.
