SUMMARY

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer II to join our Portal
development team. We are building multiple applications/portlets
exposing a multitude of tools and information coming for different
sub-systems. You would be helping design and implement scalable
JSR168/288 spring portlets under the Liferay Portal for a user base of
2-5 million users. Knowledge of Java, javascript (jQuery), CSS and Web
Services (REST - JSONp) are required, C# is a plus but not required.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience
required. Minimum three (3) years experience in software engineering
and design.




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


* Expert knowledge required in the following areas:

o Object Oriented Design and Programming

o Java

* Significant experience or knowledge required in the following
areas:

o HTML, JavaScript & CSS

o AJAX

o Web Services (SOAP, REST - JSON/XML)

o Portlets development (JSR 168/JSR 286)

o Portal development (Liferay)

* Basic experience or knowledge required in the following
technologies:

o Unit Testing / Test Coverage (TDD)

o Spring Framework

o Object mapping, such as Hibernate / IBatis

o Continuous Integration/Build Automation (Maven/Ant)

o Application Security

o Rally - Agile development
