At the City and County of Denver, we're looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator who specializes in Backup and Restore solutions using the Legato NetWorker product stack. This position will focus on backup/restore server functions and handle file restoration/data recovery as requested by authorized employees. The selected individual will be a member of our Enterprise Storage, Recovery & Video (ESRV) team which handles a variety of platforms supporting multiple systems in a complex data environment. There is opportunity to work on additional systems administration functions which reflects an open environment of learning/knowledge sharing and supportive management.
Our Technology Services Division (IT) is using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications and operations that we deliver to our Mile High City. We enjoy progressive leadership which has created initiatives such as VMWare implementation, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Intelligence (BI), Identity Management (IM) and Web 2.0 technologies.

We're looking for a Senior LINUX / UNIX Systems Administrator to join our team at the City and County of Denver.
Our Technology Services (IT) Division is becoming a leader in the use of technology to enhance operational and strategic effectiveness.
Our Systems Administration Team is focused on a variety of leading-edge and large-scale initiatives, such as: migrating our UNIX plant from AIX to Red Hat Linux; taking advantage of VMWare virtualization technology to host Linux; expanding our Sunray thin client technology; tying our UNIX environments into an identity management system; and we continue our co-existence with an extensive Microsoft Windows environment. We have approximately 70 AIX LPARS and 20 Linux servers currently in our fleet.
