EchoStar - Oracle EBS Application Administrator

Provides Tier II production support for the maintenance of the organization's Oracle ERP system. Extensive experience with the 11.5.10 Oracle E-business suite required. Perform application support for Oracle Supply Chain modules, OM, Oracle Financials (GL, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Sub-ledger Integration) HR- Core HR, Benefits, Comp, Packout and employee security system. Includes monitoring and troubleshooting, project support, Sox reporting, error handling, Maintenance, documentation and testing support for production and dev/qa instances for Oracle 11i. Responsible for ensuring all Oracle user access meets strict security requirements. Will include on-call support as needed.

The ERP Applications Administrator must effectively control security and ensure 100% E-Business Suite operations. They are responsible for enforcing the fundamental concepts of configuring an Oracle E-Business Suite, as well as handling day-to-day system administrator tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the following Oracle E-Business Suite options and Managers:

Function Security
Data Security
Oracle User Management (Oracle Access Control)
Profile Options
Oracle Applications Manager (OAM)
Administering Concurrent Managers
Oracle Workflow
Flexfields

Administration of User provisioning and security. Administer key setup screens, flexfields, profile changes, and functional setups. Conduct research and testing of patches necessary to correct bugs and enhance system functionality.

Position supports applications team by assisting in application of patches, change control and coordination of system availability. Reviews application customization, extension and modification designs to ensure accuracy and relevancy of functionality proposed and/of affected.

Responsible for Oracle Discoverer End-user-layer maintenance and ensure business objects for reporting are maintained per business needs. Evaluate technology and make recommendations.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology preferred or related work experience

Previous Oracle 11.15.10 ERP Support experience

Minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain or Order Management work experience, to include a working understanding of all Supply Chain management Functional processes.

3-5 yrs experience with Oracle ERP 11.5.x applications support.

Experience with production support tools. Ability to plan accordingly for projects, resources, time allocations, etc.


Additional Qualifications:

Experience in Oracle ERP Financials Functionality.

Strong technical and functional knowledge of the Oracle e-Business suite of which at least 5 years experience in financial modules (AR , AP , GL , PO, FA and PA) also experience with INV, OM, BOM, WIP, and WMS. Familiarity with Oracle HRMS is a plus.
Proficient in application tools such as SQL , PL/SQL , Forms , Reports , XML Publisher, and Discoverer
Thorough knowledge of Oracle API*s
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward highly available and scalable solutions.
Ability to work on ad-hoc end user support request
Knowledge with Unix shell scripting
Working experience in data mapping and data loader activities
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong analytical skills, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and user support skills.
