Business Intelligence - Programmer Analyst



POSITION PURPOSE:

Perform technical development, implementation, and support of custom
applications in SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Office Visual Basic.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, develop, implement, and support custom applications in SQL
Server, Microsoft Access, and Office Visual Basic.

- Develop and support ETL interfaces between applications.

- Perform conversion of Access databases to a SQL Server database.

- Develop functional and technical specifications based on defined
customer business requirements.

- Participate on assigned projects and ensure compliance with Project
Management methodologies.

- Conduct on-going system performance analysis and identify
opportunities for improvement.

- Prepare plans and estimates for tasks assigned.

- Prepare and execute test plans for all levels of testing.

- Document processes and procedures for new and existing systems.

- Troubleshoot issues and resolve them to the satisfaction of
customers.


- Follow existing change management process.

- Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 3+ years programming experience.

- BS Degree MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

- Technology Experience: SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Office Visual
Basic, SQL.

- Experience working with, optimizing, and tuning large databases or
data warehouses is beneficial.

- Ability to solve a variety of problems in situations where only
limited standardization exists.

- Working knowledge of MS Office.

- Practical knowledge of incremental and iterative development.

- Good analytical skills, solutions oriented.

- Strong multi-tasking skills.

- Good written and oral communications.

- Strong customer focus with a passion for quality.

SENIOR DATA WAREHOUSE ARCHITECT



POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sr. Data Warehouse Architect will participate in the discovery and
documentation of business scenarios and be responsible for the design
and development of the associated data architecture. The Architect will
be a key member of the Business Intelligence team ensuring that both
data models and metadata support the overall solution architecture. The
Architect will also be responsible for ensuring that this architecture
will support the growing enterprise analytical, reporting and data
integration needs of the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Leads the development of the company's enterprise information
architecture strategy.

- Leads data warehouse analysis and design activities.

- Translates business requirements into logical data models

- Performs source system analysis, identifies key data issues, and
performs data profiling.

- Develops normalized and star-snowflake physical schemas.

- Established direction for TSA's data governance function.

- Assists in ETL design, development, and optimization.

- Works closely with report developers in the design and build of
MicroStrategy projects.

- Coordinates with the Project Manager and participates in project
planning.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience as the lead data architect on multiple full life cycle
Data
Warehouse implementations.

- 7+ years experience in data warehousing, data architecture and
business analytics development.

- Deep skills in data modeling; logical, physical and dimensional
modeling (experience in retail sector is desirable).

- Strong PL/SQL programming and performance tuning skills in an Oracle
RDBMS 10g / 11i environment.

- 3+ years hands-on development of ETL, including processes to audit
and
cleanse data.

- Experience using data modeling tools (such as Erwin) for logical
modeling, and model source control

- Experience in using an enterprise ETL tool such as ODI (Sunopsis),
Ab-Initio, Informatica, etc.

- Design of data warehouse data architecture strategy and techniques
(ODS, EDW, DM, ROLAP, MOLAP, Aggregates).

- Experience in implementing strategies for audit, load balancing,
exception handling, and high data throughput.

- Experience with enterprise reporting tools such as MicroStrategy,
Cognos, Business Objects, or Analysis Services.

- Experience working on teams utilizing Agile principles, practices and
methodologies.

- Current knowledge of the data warehouse market; vendors, best
practices, and standards bodies.

- Proven ability to lead and mentor in a team-oriented environment.

- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including then
ability to be both directive and collaborative.

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or comparable job-related experience
is required.

Senior Programmer Analyst JDA AS400

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Create, implement and maintain JDA MMS and all legacy applications.
Document processes and procedures for new and existing systems. Train
customers in the use of new or existing systems. Troubleshoot problems
and resolve them to the satisfaction of customers both external and
internal.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Design, develop, implement and maintain software applications related
to the JDA MMS and all legacy systems. *Document processes and
procedures for new and existing systems.

*Develop code in RPG, SQL, CL and other language based off the
technical
specifications in alignment with IS standards.

*Assists in the design and development of the system architecture in
alignment with the overall IS systems plan.

*Develop functional and technical specifications based on defined
customer business requirements.

*Participate on assigned projects and ensure compliance with Project
Management methodologies.

*Participate in the development of training materials to support IS
team
members and customers.

*Conduct on-going system performance analysis and identify
opportunities
for improvement.

*Prepare plans and estimates for tasks assigned.

*Prepare and executes test plans for all levels of testing.

*Train customers in the use of new or existing systems. *Troubleshoot
problems and resolve them to the satisfaction of customers.

*Follow existing change management process.

*Responds to outages and queues and resolves any system issues.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelors degree in Technology or related experience.

*8 plus years experience in programming required.

*2 years plus experience with JDA MMS, AS/400, RPG, SQL technology
required.

*Working knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Outlook, etc.

*Ability to solve a variety of problems in situations where only
limited
standardization exists.

*Ability to compose moderately complex documentation of a routine
nature.

*Ability to discuss detailed information with both internal and
external
customers all levels in the organization.

*Ability to improve existing systems or procedures which periodically
result in new ideas or approaches of considerable significance.
