Webroot Software is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer for our Desktop Software Development Team. The Senior QA Engineer performs complex software testing tasks requiring planning and scheduling to assure developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Communication with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues is also an important requirement for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Write test scripts and test cases to meet assigned requirements
* Write detailed defect catalogs into the defect tracking system
* Communicate with developers, product managers, usability engineers and technical support specialists on product issues
* Work with Customer Support group to help perform root cause analysis of issues found in the wild
* Work with Development team to ensure that the product is fully tested
* Work with Documentation to see that all enhancements, bug fixes, and new products are documented
* Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process
* Provide technical assistance and technical training to other departments

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's Degree in Technology, equivalent industry experience acceptable
* 5+ years proven work experience in software quality assurance engineering
* 5+ years proven work experiencing for consumer or enterprise software applications
* 3+ years work experience in setting up and maintaining MS windows domain, Active Directory and various windows servers
* Strong packet-level knowledge in TCP/IP networking
* 4+ years work experience with SQL/Oracle Databases
* 3+ years work experience with Automated Testing
* 3+ years work experience writing Test Scripts (i.e. Perl, Python, TCL)
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
* Security industry experience a plus
