Job Summary
The Data QA Analyst will focus on ensuring that data cleansing
projects meet defined standards for quality by reviewing data files
and utilizing internal tools to detect and correct errors. Working
in Excel, Access and a proprietary data cleansing application is
necessary to review data in various stages of cleansing. This person
will be required to be a significant contributor to process
improvement and automation of the data cleansing and QA process.

They are also responsible for leading the development of data
standards. Data Quality Assurance Analysts bear final
responsibility for assuring that all data in the GHX system is of
high quality, complete, and accurate.

The Data Quality Assurance Analyst will assist in defining data
management tool requirements and will document bugs and enhancement
requests. Additionally, they are responsible for assisting Medical
Analysts as required, either directly or through supervision, in
cleansing, standardizing, and matching customer data and in
expanding the attribution and categorization of the GHX standard
databases.

Job Requirements

• Act as the primary resource for the QA process. Run internal
tools to identify errors and make corrections to the data as needed.
• Proactively work with the Content Team technical resources
to implement new features in the data-cleansing tool to ensure
quality is enforced and to speed up the rate of the QA review
process. Innovative, creative ideas are expected on a regular
basis.
• Work with content partners to assist with the QA Process.
Perform training for external team members, participate in regular
conference calls and communicate one-on-one with partners to ensure
QA tasks are being performed according to GHX standards.
• Work in conjunction with the QA Manager to document quality
issues and participate in meetings to define changes to the
processes or tools to help resolve these issues.
• Data management application QA, bug and enhancement
reporting, requirements and use-case definition
• Assist in developing data management best-practices
• Development of rules for automated data processing and QA
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or
equivalent experience required
• Minimum 2 years experience in Data Quality Assurance, Data
Management, Healthcare purchasing, or medical product knowledge
• Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership and
responsibility
• Detail-oriented and very meticulous
• Ability to provide high throughput with high quality
• Intelligent, logical thinker with strong problem solving
skills
• Flexible and enthusiastic with a good attitude
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access and Web
tools. SQL skills a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required
• Must be able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
