Job Title: Staff Oracle Developer
Location: Englewood, CO (South Denver)
Responsibilities:

*
Work on PSUB Quality Assurance and other data centric applications.
*
Work hands-on and provide technical knowledge in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of affected applications.
*
Analyze information system requirements, create designs, and provide technical documentation by utilizing DISH Network specified tools and methodologies.
*
Provide information system technology solutions by adhering to DISH Network prescribed life-cycle tools and methodologies.
*
May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify applications and processes.
*

Skills & Qualifications:

*
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related discipline preferred and at least 10+ years of related software development experience is required.
*
Minimum 3 years experience on UNIX (HP or Solaris) platforms with strong Korn shell scripting skills.
*
Minimum 6 years experience in Oracle 8i, 9i, or 10g database including DDL, PLSQL, and SQL with performance tuning.
*
Other preferred skills include Perl scripting, PGP, and Secure File Transfer Protocols, and AutoSys job scheduler.
*
Core Java development is a strong nice-to-have skill. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are a must.
*
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
*
Ability to work well under pressure and execute on aggressive deadlines.
*
Flexible in a changing work environment, and driven to succeed in a fast paced atmosphere.
