Responsible for technical infrastructure of the front end applications including design and implementation guidance for the Front End web based products. Provides prototypes of key functional implementations and oversees and provides leadership for all technology framework implementations. Provides technical leadership and mentoring to the Front End development team on technical implementations including web server and portal based multi-tier applications:
Providing technical guidance to product software development engineers.
Ensuring architectural design, process and quality practices are followed.
Providing technical architecture for the Front End web based products.
Delivering technical, standards, and design documentation.
Leading in-house architecture and design groups.
Designing and implementing all technology frameworks
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, implementation, and technical architecture experience:
*Work closely with the Product Architecture and FE functional teams to define technical architecture.
*Responsible for design, development, and testing of infrastructure components and external integration
products
*Provide decision making for software engineering and development, sensitive to the constraints and needs of the business.
*Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities
*Work within software engineering plans/schedules, providing technical designs and guidance.
*Ensure adherence to technical architecture standards and practices to ensure reproducible development and high quality.
*Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical reviews.
*Provide employee coaching and mentoring
Minimum Qualifications:
BS Computer Science/Engineering Required. MS preferred
8 years+ Software Architecture and Engineering required
6 years+ Java/J2EE design/development required
6 years+ Middleware design/development required
3 years+ Java Portal design/development required
Experience mentoring and training others
Experience developing and delivering commercial/enterprise software.
Languages : Java, C++, SQL, J2EE
Databases: Oracle
Middleware: WebLogic, WebSphere, Oracle, Vitria, Sonic, WebMethods
Systems: Unix, Linux, AIX, Windows
Knowledge of computer applications, data processing methods, and data processing equipment.
Knowledge and experience in implementation of Highly Available software / hardware solutions is preferred.
Excellent communication and influencing skills in English
